Eure (river)
The Eure (; ) is a river between Normandy and Centre-Val de Loire in north-western France, left tributary of the Seine. It is long. It rises at Marchainville in the Orne department and joins the Seine near Pont-de-l'Arche. Two departments are named after the Eure, namely Eure and Eure-et-Loir. Normandy
Normandy (; french: link=no, Normandie ; nrf, Normaundie, Nouormandie ; from Old French , plural of ''Normant'', originally from the word for "northman" in several Scandinavian languages) is a geographical and cultural region in Northwestern Europe, roughly coextensive with the historical Duchy of Normandy. Merey () is a commune in the Eure department of the Normandy region in northern France. Ivry-la-Bataille () is a commune in the Eure Department in the Normandy region in northern France. Ivry-la-Bataille was formerly known as Ivry. Évreux () is a commune in and the capital of the department of Eure, in the French region of Normandy. Geography The city is on the Iton river. Anet () is a commune in the Eure-et-Loir department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of north-central France. It lies 14 km north-northeast of Dreux between the rivers Eure and Vesgre, the latter flowing into the former some 4 km northeast of Anet town hall.
