Stephen Powers (artist)
Stephen J. Powers (born May 25, 1968) is an American contemporary artist and muralist. He is also known by the name ESPO ("Exterior Surface Painting Outreach"), and Steve Powers.Gregory J. Biography Powers is from Philadelphia and took classes at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, and the University of the Arts. In 1994, Powers moved to New York City to expand ''On the Go'' magazine, a hip hop magazine founded by Powers. Working under the name 'Espo', he painted throughout the city becoming known during the late 1990s for his thematic graffiti 'pieces', for ''On the Go'' magazine, and for his 1999 book ''The Art of Getting Over'', which placed stories told by other graffiti writers alongside photos of their work. Phil Esposito
Philip Anthony Esposito ( , ; born February 20, 1942) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, coach and executive, and current broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Lightning. A member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, he played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers, winning two Stanley Cups with Boston. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time, and is the older brother of fellow Hall-of-Famer Tony Esposito, a goaltender. He became the first player to score more than 100 points in a season, with 126 in 1968-69, a feat he would later achieve a further 5 times, also becoming the first player to score 50 goals in a season 5 times in a row, including the then record of 76 goals in 1970-71 to go with the then record 152 points the same year. Petro Evstaf'evic Stojan ( rus, Пётр Евстафьевич Стоян, also known by the pseudonyms Ribaulb, Radovich and Šulerc) (June 22, 1884 in Izmail, Bessarabia — May 3, 1961 in Nice) was a Ukrainian esperantist, bibliographer and lexicographer and a member of the Esperanto Language Committee (''Lingva Komitato'') from 1914. Life and work Stojan studied physics and mathematics at the Richelieu Lyceum (today's Odessa University) in Odessa and in Sankt Petersburg and from 1906 to 1907 in Paris. From 1919 to 1922, he was a high school teacher in Serbia. From 1925, he worked at the Universal Esperanto Association in Geneva at its biggest work, the ''Bibliography of the International Language'' (''Bibliografio de Internacia Lingvo'') which was published in 1929. National-Socialist Patriotic Organisation
The ESPO ( el, Ελληνική Σοσιαλιστική Πατριωτική Οργάνωσις, translation=Hellenic Socialist Patriotic Organization) was a collaborationist, pro-Nazi organization created in the summer of 1941 in German-occupied Greece, under the leadership of Georgios Vlavianos and later Dr. Spyros Sterodimas. Its members were ultra-nationalists, Nazis, and fascists aiming to help the Axis occupation forces against Communism and Jews. One of their main actions was the ransacking of the synagogue on Melidoni Street, Athens, by the ESPO's youth section. The bombing Dr. Sterodimas, meanwhile, was trying to recruit Greek youth to create a Greek division of the Waffen SS, but was killed together with other 28 members of ESPO (and 48 German soldiers) when the PEAN resistance group blew up the organization's headquarters in central Athens. The European Sea Ports Organisation or ESPO, founded in 1993, is the representative body of the port authorities, port associations and port administrations of the seaports of the member states of the European Union and of Norway. Its membership includes ports from non-member states of the European Union which are admitted under observer status. The headquarters of ESPO are in Brussels and include a General Assembly, an Executive Committee and 8 special committees. The ESPO represents the interests of the seaports of the European Union. Espoo
Espoo (, ; sv, Esbo) is a city and municipality in the region of Uusimaa in the Republic of Finland. It is located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland, bordering the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, Kirkkonummi, Vihti and Nurmijärvi while surrounding the enclaved town of Kauniainen.
