The de Prunner's ringlet (''Erebia triarius'') is a member of the subfamily Satyrinae of the family Nymphalidae. Sir Charles Langham, 13th Baronet
Sir Herbert Charles Arthur Langham, 13th Baronet (24 May 1870, Cottesbrooke, Northamptonshire – 3 October 1951, Tempo, County Fermanagh, Tempo) was an English landowner, photographer, ornithologist and entomologist. Life He was educated at Eton college, Eton and later became a lieutenant in the Northamptonshire Regiment. He married Ethel (known in the family as Jenny) Tennent in 1893 and came to live in Tempo Manor, County Fermanagh, which she had inherited. The house and estate had been built by her grandfather, another naturalist, James Emerson Tennent. Langham was deputy lieutenant and justice of the peace for the county. In 1930 he was appointed High Sheriff of Fermanagh. After his death in 1951, his son Sir John Charles Patrick Langham, 14th Baronet, John inherited his title and the Manor. Adalbert Seitz
Friedrich Joseph Adalbert Seitz, (24 February 1860 in Mainz – 5 March 1938 in Darmstadt) was a German physician and entomologist who specialised in Lepidoptera. He was a director of the Frankfurt zoo from 1893 to 1908 and is best known for editing the multivolume reference on the butterflies and larger moths of the world ''Die Gross-Schmetterlinge der Erde'' which continued after his death. Biography Seitz was born in Mainz and went to school in Aschaffenburg, Darmstadt and Bensheim. He studied medicine from 1880 to 1885 and then zoology at Giessen. His doctorate was on the protective devices of animals. He worked as an assistant in the maternity hospital of the University of Giessen and then worked as a ship's doctor from 1887, travelling to Australia, South America and Asia. ''Erebia'' is a Holarctic genus of brush-footed butterflies, family Nymphalidae. Most of the about 90–100 species (see also below) are dark brown or black in color, with reddish-brown to orange or more rarely yellowish wing blotches or bands. These usually bear black spots within, which sometimes have white center spots. This genus has found it easy to adapt to arid and especially cold conditions. Most of its members are associated with high-altitude lands, forest clearings or high latitude and tundra. ''Erebia'' species are frequent in the Alps, Rocky Mountains, subarctic and even Arctic regions, and the cooler parts of Central Asia. In fact, the North American term for these butterflies is alpines. Palearctic species are collectively known as ringlets or arguses. However, none of these terms is used exclusively for this genus.
