Entertainment Experience
Entertainment Experience was a Dutch TV-program and competition following the creation of a user-generated film-project in which two films were created: one film made by professionals named ''Tricked'' (''Steekspel''), directed by Dutch director Paul Verhoeven, and one "user-generated film" made by contesting teams of participants. The process of making the films was shown on Veronica. Production The project was launched on September 21, 2011, and finished at the end of 2012. The film script consisted of eight parts. Part one was written by Kim van Kooten. "The crowd" (participators of the competition) wrote the scripts for the seven following parts. Paul Verhoeven
Paul Verhoeven (; born 18 July 1938) is a Dutch director, producer and screenwriter, active in the Netherlands, France and the United States. His blending of graphic violence and sexual content with social satire is a trademark of both his drama and science fiction films. After receiving attention for the TV series '' Floris'' in his native Netherlands, Verhoeven got his film breakthrough with romantic drama ''Turkish Delight'' (1973), starring frequent collaborator Rutger Hauer. ''De Wereld Draait Door'' (; English: "The world keeps on turning") also known by the acronym DWDD was an early-evening talk show on Dutch television, broadcast every weekday at 7:00 p.m. on NPO 1. It is the Netherlands' longest-running, regularly scheduled TV entertainment show and is also the program with the second-highest viewing figures on Dutch television, beaten only by the main evening news at 8.00 p.m. The show, created by Dieuwke Wynia and produced by BNNVARA, was discontinued after the last episode on 27 March 2020. Stephan Brenninkmeijer (born 27 June 1964 in Doorwerth) is a Dutch film director, screenwriter, and producer. Life and career Brenninkmeijer was born and raised at Doorwerth Castle, Netherlands, where his father G.H. Brenninkmeijer was owner of the Michelin starred Restaurant Beaulieu. At the age of 8 his family moved to Apeldoorn. From 1988 to 1992 he studied at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. Although aiming to direct feature films, he first focused on storytelling through editing. In 1992, he started his professional career editing television series and films. As an editor he worked with Dutch directors like Academy Award winner Mike van Diem. Nightwork Films (a Dutch film production team consisting out of International Media and Entertainment Management students) has officially been founded on 21 October 2011. Their name, Nightwork Films, originates from when they were officially founded: in the middle of the night. As a sort of tradition, they regularly pull an all-nighter to finish their projects. John Woo Yu-Sen SBS (; born September 22, 1946) is a Hong Kong filmmaker, known as a highly-influential figure in the action film genre. Eye Filmmuseum is a film archive, museum, and cinema in Amsterdam that preserves and presents both Dutch and foreign films screened in the Netherlands. Location and history Eye Filmmuseum is located in the Overhoeks neighborhood of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
