Emma Malewski
Emma Leonie Malewski (born July 18, 2004) is a German artistic gymnast who represented Germany at the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, inaugural Junior World Championships. She is the 2022 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2022 European champion on the balance beam, and was part of the first German team to ever win a European team medal in women's artistic gymnastics. Early life Malewski was born in Hamburg in 2004. She currently trains in Chemnitz. Gymnastics career Junior 2016–2017 In 2016 Malewski competed at both the German National Championships and the German Cup, where she placed ninth and fourth respectively. She competed at the Turnkunst International competition where she helped her team finish sixth and individually she placed third in the espoir division. The 34th European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held from 11–14 August 2022 in Munich, Germany as part of the second multi-sport European Championships. Gymnastics Vault
The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT. The apparatus Early forms of the vault were invented by German Friedrich Ludwig Jahn. The apparatus itself originated as a "horse", much like the pommel horse but without the handles; it was sometimes known as the vaulting horse. Carolann Héduit
Carolann Héduit (born 2 December 2003) is a French artistic gymnast and a member of the French national gymnastics team. She is the 2018 European junior uneven bars bronze medalist and the 2021 French all-around champion. She represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Early life Héduit was born in Angers, France on 2 December 2003. She started gymnastics at the age of six at Angers Gymnastique. Career Junior Héduit was first added to the French national gymnastics team in 2016. 2017 Héduit made her international debut at the City of Jesolo Trophy, finishing fifth with the French junior team. Ondine Achampong
Ondine Achampong (born 10 February 2004) is a British artistic gymnast who was part of the women's team that won silver at the 2022 World Championships. She won a gold medal with the English team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and individually, Achampong won silver medals in the all-around and on floor exercise. She is the 2022 European team and balance beam silver medalist. She is the 2021 British all-around champion and the 2022 British all-around silver medalist. As a junior, Achampong is the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival champion on the balance beam and silver medallist in the all-around. She is also the 2019 British junior all-around champion. Elisabeth Seitz
Elisabeth Seitz (born 4 November 1993) is a German artistic gymnast. She is the 2022 European champion and the 2018 World bronze medalist on the uneven bars. She is one of the only female gymnasts in history to compete the Def (full-twisting Gienger) release, and her eponymous skill, a full-twisting Maloney. Seitz has also had success in the individual all-around event, where she is the 2011 European silver medalist and an eight-time German national champion (2010–13, 2015, 2017–18, 2021). She is a three-time Olympian, representing Germany at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she led her team to a sixth-place finish and placed fourth in the uneven bars final, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Sarah Voss (born 21 October 1999) is a German artistic gymnast. She represented Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She is the 2019 and 2022 German all-around national champion and competed in the 2018 and 2019 World Championships. She was part of the bronze medal-winning German team at the 2022 European Championships. Personal life Voss was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 1999. Kim Bui
Kim Bui (born 20 January 1989) is a retired German artistic gymnast. She represented Germany at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2009 and 2014 German National Champion and the 2011 European bronze medalist on the uneven bars. In her final competition, she was part of the first German team to win a European team medal. Early life and education Bui was born in Tübingen in 1989 to a Vietnamese mother and a Lao father. 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
