Eladio Jala
Eladio Manligues Jala (born February 18, 1949) is a Philippine lawyer and politician. Biography It is a long way from rural Loboc in Bohol to the congressional halls in Batasan Hills in Quezon City. Starting out a teacher, Jala as a lawyer- lawmaker, representing the 3rd district of Bohol in the Lower House for three consecutive terms. Jala was born in Loboc to Olegario Jala and Gregoria Manligues and begun his studies at the town's Central Elementary school. He was later sent to the Divine Word College (DWC), now Holy Name University, in Tagbilaran City for his secondary and tertiary education, finishing a Political Science course and predictably, going on to law school. Among the many Bar examinees coming from the DWC School of Law, Eladio came out to be the only one who passed the rigid exams in 1982, an achievement of note attesting to a triumph no one can refute. Bohol's 3rd Congressional District
Bohol's 3rd congressional district is one of the three congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Bohol. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. The district consists of the southeastern municipalities of Alicia, Anda, Batuan, Bilar, Candijay, Carmen, Dimiao, Duero, Garcia Hernandez, Guindulman, Jagna, Lila, Loay, Loboc, Mabini, Pilar, Sevilla, Sierra Bullones and Valencia. Adam Relson Limbago Jala (born 17 June 1979) is a Filipino lawyer and politician currently serving as the vice mayor of Tagbilaran City since June 30, 2022. Prior to that, he was a member of the Tagbilaran City council from 2013 to 2022 and a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines representing the Bohol's 3rd congressional district from 2007–2010. He succeeded his father Eladio in the congressional seat. Jala graduated from University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in community development. He earned his law degree from Ateneo de Manila University. Loboc, Bohol
Loboc, officially the Municipality of Loboc ( ceb, Munisipalidad sa Loboc; tgl, Bayan ng Loboc), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 17,418 people. Located east of Tagbilaran, Loboc is widely known for its lunch cruises along the scenic and winding Loboc River. The Loboc Children's Choir, who perform in different floating stations located at the river's end, has won numerous competitions both domestic and international. Tourists also visit to see the tarsier, a small, nocturnal, monkey-like mammal with large, red eyes. It is one of the world's smallest primates. Until the 2013 earthquake, portions of the Loboc Church complex (specifically parts of what became the convent or priests' residence) were amongst the oldest standing religious structures in the island of Bohol.
