Egyptian Passport
Egyptian passports ( ar, جواز السفر المصري) are issued to nationals of Egypt for the purpose of international travel. Besides serving as a proof of Egyptian citizenship, they facilitate the process of securing assistance from Egyptian consular officials abroad if needed. Egyptian passports are valid for seven years for adults, and is issued for lesser periods for school or college students, or those who have not finalized their status of the military conscription. Starting in 2008, The Egyptian government introduced newer machine-readable passport (MRP), in order to comply with international passport standards and requirements with 96.7% conformance to ICAO Document 9303. The newer passports offer better security and state-of-the-art anti forging parameters and have a soft cover. PDF417
PDF417 is a stacked linear barcode format used in a variety of applications such as transport, identification cards, and inventory management. "PDF" stands for Portable Data File. The "417" signifies that each pattern in the code consists of 4 bars and spaces in a pattern that is 17 units (modules) long. The PDF417 symbology was invented by Ynjiun P. Visa Requirements For Egyptian Citizens
Visa requirements for Egyptian citizens are administrative entry restrictions imposed on citizens of Egypt by the authorities of other states. On 27 July 2022, Egyptian citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 54 countries and territories, ranking the Egyptian passport 94th in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index. However, according to the most up-to-date list compiled on this wiki, Egyptian passport holders can enter 72 countries (not counting dependent and partially unrecognized territories) with Visa on arrival, or easy eVisas or complete visa free under certain conditions (See table and map below).
