Edwin Raphael
Edwin Raphael is an Indian people, Indian indie folk musician based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Raphael moved to Montreal to study at Concordia University from Dubai in 2013. He released his debut EP, ''Ocean Walk'' in 2015, which was followed by ''Cold Nights in 2017''. Raphael released his first full-length album, ''Will You Think of Me Later?'' in 2019. His third EP, ''Staring at Ceilings'' was released in February 2021 with Dine Alone Records, featuring production efforts from Marcus Paquin, Jacob Liutkus, Andreas Koliakoudakis, and Ishan Parashar. Edwin began touring in 2022 in support of release from his upcoming album ''Warm Terracotta'' which included a headlining Eastern Canadian tour as well as opening slots with Palace, The Franklin Electric, and a performance at Osheaga Festival in the summer of 2022. Osheaga Festival
The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival (french: Festival musique et arts Osheaga) is a multi-day indie music festival in Montreal, Quebec, that is held every summer at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène. The festival takes place on six stages with various audience capacities. Translated from their French equivalents, they are called "River Stage," "Mountain Stage," "Green Stage," "Trees Stage," "Valley Stage," and "Zone Piknic Electronik." Each performance area is paired with a sponsor. Band set times fluctuate based on the status of the performer within the festival. Emerging artists play 30-minute sets, and headliners conclude each day with 90-minute plus sets. The 2006 festival attracted a crowd of around 25,000 people. Marcus Paquin
Silver Starling is a Canadian indie pop band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Biography Silver Starling began as a project of Montreal-born singer-songwriter Marcus Paquin. Outside of creating his own music Marcus has been a recording engineer having worked with Torngat, Arcade Fire and The National. Paquin met drummer Liam O'Neill after seeing him perform at a free jazz show and the two soon began performing the songs together. Marika Anthony-Shaw joined the band, adding violin, viola and keyboards. Peter X was soon added on bass guitar and banjo. The then four-piece recorded their self-titled debut album and added Gabriel Lambert as an additional guitarist. The album was released on Last Gang Records in October 2009.
