Eva Reign (born June 20, 1996) is an American actress, journalist, and writer. She is best known for lead role in the 2022 Amazon Prime Video American coming-of-age romantic comedy film ''Anything's Possible (film), Anything's Possible''. Reign has written for ''Vogue (magazine), Vogue'', ''New York (magazine), New York'', ''Them (website), Them'', ''Highsnobiety'', and ''Paper (magazine), PAPER''. Tourmaline (activist)
Tourmaline (born 1983; formerly known as Reina Gossett) is an American artist, filmmaker, activist, editor, and writer. She is a transgender woman who identifies as queer. Tourmaline is most notable for her work in transgender activism and economic justice, through her work with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Critical Resistance and Queers for Economic Justice. In 2017, she edited the book ''Trap Door: Trans Cultural Production and the Politics of Visibility,'' with co-editors Eric A. Stanley and Johanna Burton. The book is part of a series called ''Critical Anthologies in Art and Culture'' by MIT Press. Tourmaline served as the 2016–2018 Activist-in-Residence at Barnard Center for Research on Women. Ball Culture
The Ballroom Scene (also known as the Ballroom community, Ballroom culture, or just Ballroom) is an African-American and Latino underground LGBTQ+ subculture that originated in New York City. Beginning in the late 20th century, Black and Latino drag queens began to organize their own pageants in opposition to racism experienced in established drag queen pageant circuits. Though racially integrated for the participants, the judges of these circuits were mostly white people. While the initial establishment of Ballroom mimicked these drag queen pageants, the inclusion of gay men and trans women would transform the Ballroom scene into what it is today: a multitude of categories that all LGBTQ+ people can participate in. Billy Porter (actor)
William Ellis Porter II (born September 21, 1969) is an American actor, singer, writer and director. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, and he achieved fame performing on Broadway before starting a solo career as a singer and actor. Porter won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Lola in '' Kinky Boots''. He credits the part for "cracking open" his feminine side to confront toxic masculinity.
