2013–14 Eurocup Basketball
The 2013–14 Eurocup Basketball season was the 12th edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. Valencia, the winner of this competition, earned a place at the group stage of the next season's EuroLeague. Valencia beat UNICS in two legs. It was the first time since the 2002–03 season, that the Finals were played over two games. Competition format changes The competition increases from 32 to 48 teams in the Regular Season phase. The size of the groups will grow to six teams, where the first three qualified teams will join the Last 32 stage. Another innovation this season will see clubs divided into two regional conferences for the Regular Season phase. Adam Hrycaniuk (born March 15, 1984) is a Polish professional basketball player for Arka Gdynia of the Polish Basketball League. College career After spending two years in community college, Hrycaniuk spent the 2007–08 season with the Cincinnati Bearcats. Aaron Cel (born March 4, 1987) is a French-Polish professional basketball player for Polski Cukier Toruń of the Polish Basketball League. Professional career Cel made his professional debut with Le Mans in the French Pro A League. He later played with Brest, Boulazac and Nantes in the French Pro B League. Veselin Petrović ( sr-cyr, Веселин Петровић; born 1 July 1977) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He currently works as an assistant coach for OKK Beograd of the Basketball League of Serbia. Playing career Petrović grew up with the Bosna Sarajevo youth teams. Basket Hall Arena
Basket-Hall Kazan () is a basketball specialized indoor arena that is located in Kazan, Russia. It is primarily used for basketball, but it can also be used for volleyball and concerts. It contains two basketball halls. The large main hall, called Basket-Hall 1, has a seating capacity of 7,482 people for basketball and 8,000 for concerts. Oliver Lafayette (born May 6, 1984) is an American-born Croatian former professional basketball player. Standing at , he plays at the point guard and shooting guard positions. High school and college career Lafayette attended Capitol High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and led the basketball team to a 29–3 record his senior year.
