Euran Pallo (abbreviated EuPa) is a football club from Eura, Finland. The club was formed in 1954 and their home ground is at the Euran Wembley. The men's first team currently plays in the Kolmonen (Third Division). Background Euran Pallo was established in 1954 by taking over the football section of the existing Euran Raiku sports club. EuPa spent many seasons in the lower divisions of the Finnish football league in their early history. However the club's fortunes changed dramatically at the end of the 1990 season when EuPa gained promotion to the Kakkonen (Second Division) for the first time. There followed the best period in the club's history with 10 consecutive seasons in the third tier of Finnish football, the Kakkonen (Second Division) from 1991 to 2000. Eura
Eura is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Satakunta region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The III divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kolmonen (''Number Three'' in English and ''Trean'' in Swedish). Finnish Football League System
The Finnish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Finland. The three highest levels are managed by the Finnish FA while the other leagues are managed by the regional departments of the FA. Kakkonen
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the third level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen (Finnish for 'Number Two'; sv, Tvåan). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. Petter Meyer finished the 2015 as the top goal scorer for GrIFK with 23 goals. League structure For the 2012 season the format of the Kakkonen has been changed with the league divided in 4 groups of 10 teams, each representing a geographical area. Micah Hyde (footballer)
Micah Anthony Hyde (born 10 November 1974) is a coach and former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently Head Coach for Queens Park Rangers Under 18's. He played for Cambridge United and Finnish club Euran Pallo before joining Watford. He made more than 250 league appearances for Watford between 1997 and 2004, and played in the Premier League during the 1999–2000 season. He went on to play for Burnley and Peterborough United before slipping out of professional football in 2009 where he joined Conference Premier side Woking. He briefly returned to the Football League with Barnet before returning to finish his career in non-league with Billericay Town, Aveley and St Albans City.
