Estádio Municipal Dr. Mário Martins Pereira, usually known simply as Estádio Martins Pereira is a football (soccer) stadium in São José dos Campos, São Paulo state, Brazil. The stadium holds 12,234 people. It was inaugurated in 1970. The stadium is owned by the Municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha, and its formal name honors Mário Martins Pereira, who, together with his brother, called Nélson, donated the groundplot where the stadium was built. History The city's stadium in the late 1960s, called ''Estádio da Rua Antônio Saes'', had a maximum capacity of only 5,000 people, and wood bleachers, so, it was sold to allow the building of Estádio Martins Pereira. The stadium construction started in 1968. During the stadium construction time, the football clubs of the city were deactivated. Nacional Atlético Clube, commonly referred to as Nacional, is a Brazilian football team based in São Paulo, in the district of Barra Funda. Dario José dos Santos (born 4 March 1946), nicknamed Dario or Dadá Maravilha (Wonder Dadá), is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a centre-forward. Career Born into poverty, Dadá began his career in 1965, playing in the youth squad of Campo Grande, a small and modest club with no great history in Rio. His style and talent caught the eye of a scout working for Atlético Mineiro, a large and very traditional club from the state of Minas Gerais, who signed him in 1968. In 1969 his prestige was so great that then Brazilian President Emílio Garrastazu Médici asked coach Mário Zagallo to call Dadá to join the national team going to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. Albergaria-a-Velha () is a town and a Municipalities of Portugal, municipality in the Aveiro District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 25,252, in an area of 158.83 km². It had 19,687 eligible voters in 2006. History In 1117, Theresa, Countess of Portugal, D. Teresa, Countess of Portucale, and mother of Afonso Henriques the first king of Portugal, donated to the nobleman Gonçalo Eriz the lands that constitute Albergaria-a-Velha.
