Estadio Centenario (Los Mochis)
Estadio Centenario is a multi-use stadium in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium for Murciélagos F.C., Murciélagos. The stadium has a capacity of 10,844 people. It was remodeled by Grupo Faharo for Murciélagos de Los Mochis to be played in the Ascenso MX and completed by the season opener aka Grand Re-Opening of the Stadium on July 31, 2015 against Atlante F.C., Atlante in Week 2 of Torneo Apertura 2015. As of 2020 and April 2023, the stadium remains abandoned. Los Mochis, Sinaloa
Los Mochis () is a coastal city in northern Sinaloa, Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat of the municipality of Ahome. As of the 2010 census, the population was 362,613, which was 61 percent of the municipality's population. Los Mochis is the western terminus of the Chihuahua-Pacific Railroad (El Chepe), which passes through the scenic Copper Canyon. This railway was originally conceived by Albert K. Owen and approved by President Porfirio Díaz as a trade route linking the cattle markets in Kansas City with the nearest port on the Pacific Ocean, Topolobampo. Today the North Pacific irrigation region (Sinaloa-Sonora) in which the Fort Valley is the largest district and is the principal agricultural area of Sinaloa, containing over 70% of all irrigated land and producing sugar cane, cotton, rice, flowers, and many types of vegetables. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Formerly known as Primera División A (First Division A) the league rebranded in 2009 its name and competition format to Liga de Ascenso. It was rebranded in 2012 as Ascenso MX.
