Espoo Ciné International Film Festival
Espoo Ciné International Film Festival is an annual event held in Espoo, Finland, in August. The festival was established in 1990 and it has since grown to be one of Finland's leading film festivals, screening about 100 feature films each year in addition to short films. Espoo Ciné focuses on European cinema and previously there have been series centering on French and Latin cinema, for example. Espoo Ciné also presents a Pink Zone series showing LBGT films as well as one or more outdoor screenings in Tapiola Tapiola (; sv, ) is a district of the municipality of Espoo on the south coast of Finland, and is one of the major urban centres of Espoo. Espoo
Espoo (, ; sv, Esbo) is a city and municipality in the region of Uusimaa in the Republic of Finland. It is located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland, bordering the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, Kirkkonummi, Vihti and Nurmijärvi while surrounding the enclaved town of Kauniainen. Tapiola
Tapiola (; sv, ) is a district of the municipality of Espoo on the south coast of Finland, and is one of the major urban centres of Espoo. It is located in the western part of Greater Helsinki. The name ''Tapiola'' is derived from '' Tapio'', who is the forest god of Finnish mythology, especially as expressed in the ''Kalevala''. Tapiola was largely constructed in the 1950s and 1960s by the Finnish housing foundation and was designed as a garden city.
