Espen Kofstad
Espen Kofstad (born 11 August 1987) is a Norwegian professional golfer who currently plays on the Challenge Tour. Kofstad was born in Oslo and was educated at Perbraten School. After finishing at the University of Denver, he entered the first stage of the European Tour qualifying school in 2010. At the final stage, he missed qualification for the European Tour by one stroke. He then joined the Challenge Tour in 2011 and finished in 35th on the Tour's Order of Merit in his rookie season. He picked up his first victory in 2012 at the Double Tree by Hilton Acaya Open. He plays for Losby Golf and Country Club. He finished 43rd at the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio De Janeiro for Norway. In 2022, he played in his first PGA Tour Event in the Barbasol Championship, shooting a final round 67 to tie for 16th place. Romain Langasque
Romain Langasque (born 18 May 1995) is a French professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won The Amateur Championship in 2015 and in 2020 had his biggest professional success when he won the ISPS Handa Wales Open. Amateur career Langasque won The Amateur Championship in 2015 at Carnoustie Golf Links, beating Grant Forrest 4 and 2 in the final. His Amateur Championship win gave an entry to the 2015 Open Championship where he made the cut and finished tied for 65th place. He also got an entry to the 2016 Masters Tournament where he was one of two amateurs to make the cut and finished tied for 39th place. The St Andrews Trophy is a biennial men's team golf tournament contested between teams of amateur golfers representing Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe. It takes its name from St Andrews in Scotland. It was first played in 1956 and takes place in even-numbered years; Great Britain & Ireland plays in the United States in the Walker Cup in odd-numbered years. It is staged alternately in Great Britain & Ireland and on the Continent, and is organised by The R&A (an offshoot of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews) and the European Golf Association. 2010 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2010 Eisenhower Trophy took place 28–31 October at the Buenos Aires Golf Club and the Olivos Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the 27th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy and the second to be held in Argentina. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 69 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team was due to play two rounds on the two courses. Weather delays on the second day meant that the second round was not completed until the third day and the event was reduced to 54 holes. The leading 36 teams played their third round at Buenos Aires Golf Club while the others played at Olivos Golf Club. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. The 2009 European Amateur Team Championship took place 30 June – 4 July at Conwy Golf Club in Conwy County Borough, Wales, United Kingdom. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). European Boys' Team Championship
The European Boys' Team Championship (Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy) is a European amateur team golf championship for men up to 18 organized by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1980 and it has been played annually since. Since the European Youths' Team Championship, for men under 22, was discontinued in 2006, due to the trend of players reaching elite level at an earlier age, the European Boys' Team Championship has been regarded as the most important junior team event in Europe outside the British Isles. Nordic Golf League
The Nordic Golf League is one of the four PGA European Tour-recognised third-tier men's professional golf tours that are known as the Satellite Tours. The top five players on the rankings list at the end of each season earn a place on the second tier Challenge Tour for the following year. For 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, other rules were decided for qualification for the 2021 Challenge Tour.
