Ernst Schütz
Ernst Schütz (5 October 1935 – 22 December 2020) was an Austrian singer and actor. Biography Schütz studied singing at the Johann-Joseph-Fux-Konservatorium Graz. He made his debut from 1962 to 1964 at the Graz Opera. In 1966, he moved to Vienna and sang operettas at the Raimund Theater until 1972. He was also an actor, notably in the film ''Außer Rand und Band am Wolfgangsee'' in 1972. Schütz died on 22 December 2020 in Mondsee at the age of 85. Mondsee (town)
__NOTOC__ Mondsee is a town in the Vöcklabruck district in the Austrian state of Upper Austria located on the shore of the lake Mondsee. The town is home to the medieval Mondsee Abbey, whose cloister church was used for the site of the wedding in ''The Sound of Music''. Graz Opera
The Graz Opera (German: Oper Graz) is an Austrian opera house and opera company based in Graz. The orchestra of the opera house also performs concerts as the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra (''Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester''). History Opera had been performed in Graz since the 17th century, originally in a converted coach house on the Habsburg royal estates. Raimund Theater
The Raimund Theater is a theatre in the Mariahilf district of Vienna, Austria. Named after the Austrian dramatist Ferdinand Raimund, the theatre was built by an association of Viennese citizens and opened on 28 November 1893 with Raimund's play ''Die gefesselte Phantasie''. It can seat around 1,200 people. The theater is currently owned by Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) along with the Theater an der Wien and the Ronacher. Its current main use is for major musical productions.
