Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena ( lij, Castrevëgio) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about southwest of Genoa and about southwest of Savona. Geography Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena borders the following municipalities: Balestrino, Bardineto, Erli, Garessio, Toirano, and Zuccarello. The village gets its name from a nearby mountain called Rocca Barbena. History In the 12th and 13th centuries, Castelvecchio was part of the fiefdom of the Marquis of Clavesana.
