Erika Csomor
Erika Csomor (born 8 November 1973, Cegléd) is a Hungarian triathlete and duathlete. In 1998 she ran the marathon race at the European Championships, ending up in 36th place with a total time of 2:48:37. In 2001, she won the silver medal at the Duathlon Long Distance World Championships. In that same year she became World Champion in the ITU Duathlon World Championships held in Italy. In 2002, she was unable to successfully defend her title, but still managed to take the silver. Two years later at the 2004 ITU Duathlon World Championships in Geel, Belgium she became World Champion for the second time in her career. Also in 2004 she would win the bronze medal at the Duathlon Long Distance World Championships in Denmark. She won the silver medal at the 2007 Triathlon Long Distance World Championships in Lorient behind Leanda Cave. Cegléd
Cegléd (; german: Zieglet) is a city in Pest County, Pest county, Hungary, approximately southeast of the Hungarian capital, Budapest. Name The name of the town is of disputed origin. The name may be derived from the word "szeglet" (meaning "corner") due to its being a junction point of several important routes, while it may also have been derived from a Noun, proper name, i. e. from the name of a man called "Cegléd". The most likely explanation derives the name from the noun "cigle" or "cegle", the old Hungarian name of a rivercoast willow. History Its area has been inhabited since the Copper Age. Yvonne van Vlerken (born 5 November 1978) is a Dutch triathlete and duathlete, twice winner of Quelle Challenge Roth, who in 2008 set a world record for Ironman-distance triathlon races. She is one of a small group of female triathletes to have recorded three or more sub-9 hour times over the Ironman distance. Paula Newby-Fraser (born 2 June 1962 in Harare) is an Ironman triathlete and duathlete. Biography Newby-Fraser was born in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and raised in South Africa, where she was a nationally ranked swimmer as a child. She won the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii 8 times: 1986, 1988–1989, 1991–1994, and 1996. Because of her unprecedented winning streak, she is also referred to as "The Queen of Kona". Quelle Challenge Roth
Challenge Roth is a triathlon race organised by in and around Roth bei Nürnberg, Bavaria, Germany. It is held annually in July. The Ironman distance (140.6 miles / 226.2 kilometers) version of the race has been held since 1990, and the short distance version since 1984. It was part of the Ironman series until 2001. It has been held independently from WTC since 2002. The number of participants is around 3500 individuals and 650 relay teams. Course The first part of the race, the 3.86 km swim event, takes place in the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal around 10 km outside Roth. Samantha McGlone (born July 19, 1979 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a Canadian triathlete. Michellie Jones
Michellie Yvonne Jones ( ; born 6 September 1969) is an Australian triathlete. She has won two ITU Triathlon World Championships, an Olympic silver medal, and the 2006 Ironman World Championship. She won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics as a guide for Katie Kelly, when paratriathlon made its debut at the Paralympics. Personal life Jones currently lives in Carlsbad, California.
