Samantha McGlone
Samantha McGlone (born July 19, 1979 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a Canadian triathlete. McGlone competed at the second Olympic triathlon at the 2004 Summer Olympics The 2004 Summer Olympics ( el, Θερινοί Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες 2004, ), officially the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad ( el, Αγώνες της 28ης Ολυμπιάδας, ) and also known as Athens 2004 ( el, Αθήνα 2004), .... She took twenty-seventh place with a total time of 2:10:14.24. McGlone won the Canadian National Triathlon championship in both 2004 and 2005. On November 11, 2006, McGlone won the Ironman 70.3 World Championship with a time of 4:12:58, and qualified for the full Ironman World Championship 2007 in Kona, Hawaii. On October 13, 2007, she came in second place at the Kona Ironman with a time of 9:14:04. Ironman World Championship
The Ironman World Championship has been held annually in Hawaii since 1978, with an additional race in 1982. It is owned and organized by the World Triathlon Corporation.
