Erich Schelling
Erich Schelling (11 September 1904 Wiesloch – 14 November 1986 Karlsruhe) was a German architect. He was born in Wiesloch near Heidelberg and studied at the State Technical College (later the Fachhochschule) in Karlsruhe from 1924 to 1928 and the Technical University (today the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), until May 1933. In 1933 and 1934, Schelling joined several Nazi organizations, notably the Sturmabteilung (SA) paramilitary organization and the Reich Chamber of Culture (in its Reich Chamber of Fine Arts subdivision), which had just been founded to repress all art that did not support Nazi ideals. He remained active in all of these organizations until the Nazi Germany, Nazi state fell in 1945, and was promoted in the SA three times. He was made head of the architectural office at Hermann Alker before leaving to set up his own office in Karlsruhe in 1937. Wiesloch
Wiesloch (, locally ; South Franconian: ''Wissloch'') is a town in northern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated 13 kilometres south of Heidelberg. After Weinheim, Sinsheim and Leimen, it is the fourth largest town in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis. It shares Wiesloch-Walldorf station with its neighbouring town Walldorf. Also in the vicinity of Wiesloch are Dielheim, Malsch (bei Wiesloch), Mühlhausen, Rauenberg and Sankt Leon-Rot. Wiesloch's population grew to more than 20,000 when the administration of the area was reorganised in the 1970s. Wildparkstadion, currently known as BBBank Wildpark for sponsorship reasons, is a football (soccer), football stadium located in Karlsruhe, Germany. It is the home of the football club Karlsruher SC. History The stadium is located northeast of the Karlsruhe Palace (''Schloss'') and is part of the former deer park (''Wildpark'') of the Grand Dukes of Baden in the Hardtwald, hence the name. There have been football pitches at the location since 1922, and the stadium was built in 1955, with several major renovations since. A decision to rebuild the stadium was taken in 2006. The City of Karlsruhe and Karlsruher SC became engulfed in disputes about finances and finally abandoned the project in 2014.
