Eoin Fitzgerald
Eoin Fitzgerald (born 7 January 1980) is an Irish former hurler. He played with a number of clubs, including Castlelyons, Castlegar and Oranmore-Maree, divisional side Imokilly and was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Fitzgerald played schoolboy hurling with St Colman's College in Fermoy on a team that won consecutive Harty Cup titles and an All-Ireland Colleges Championship title in 1997. He later lined out with the University of Limerick and won a Fitzgibbon Cup title in 2002. At club level, Fitzgerald first lined out with Castlelyons in the juvenile and underage grades and was just 17-years-old when he won a Cork JAHC title with the team in 1997. This was followed by a Cork IHC title and a Cork SHC title with divisional side Imokilly in 1998. Kilkenny GAA
The Kilkenny County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Kilkenny GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Cill Chainnigh) is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kilkenny. The 2000 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship (also known as the Guinness Hurling Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 114th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament. The draw for the 2000 fixtures took place on 14 November 1999. The championship began on 6 May 2000 and ended on 10 September 2000. Cork were the defending champions but were defeated by Offaly in the All-Ireland semi-final. Carlow, New York and Westmeath fielded teams after long absences. The 1998 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 110th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The 1997 Cork Junior Hurling Championship was the 100th staging of the Cork Junior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1895. The championship began on 27 September 1997 and ended on 30 November 1997. On 30 November 1997, Castlelyons won the championship after a 2-09 to 1-11 defeat of Courcey Rovers in the final at Páirc Uí Rinn. It remains their only championship title in the grade. Dr Harty Cup
The Dr Harty Cup, officially known as the Munster Colleges Senior A Hurling Championship, is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-schools hurling competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, except on two occasions, since 1918. Ardscoil Ris are the centenary Champions winning the title in 2018. The final, usually held in February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played between October and January. Eligible players must be under the age of 19. The Dr Harty Cup is an integral part of the wider All-Ireland Colleges Championship. The 1997 Croke Cup was the 46th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 13 April to 27 April 1997. St Kieran's College were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Good Counsel College in the Leinster final. Dr Croke Cup
The Dr Croke Cup is the trophy presented to the winner of the All Ireland Secondary Schools Senior "A" hurling championship. Before that it was an inter-county GAA competition in hurling. The first Croke Cups (which included hurling and Gaelic football) took place between 1896 and 1915. Clare was the first winner of the Dr Croke Cup for hurling in 1896.
