En ledig dag ( en, A Day Off) is a song written by Bengt Sten and Matteo Chiosso. ''En ledig dag'' is the debut single released by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The melody is based on another song titled "Weekend in Portofino", composed by Bruno de Filippi. This single was originally released as a non-album single in September 1967, but has been included on her compilation albums, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, " Tre kvart från nu" and "Frida 1967–1972". Princess Anni-Frid Synni Reuss, Countess of Plauen (born Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad on 15 November 1945), also known by her nickname "Frida", is a Norwegian-born Swedish singer, songwriter and environmentalist, who is best known as one of the founding members and lead singers of the Swedish pop band ABBA. Born in Bjørkåsen (Ballangen), Norway, to a Norwegian mother and a German father, she grew up in Torshälla, Sweden, and started her first solo career there, as a jazz singer in 1967, through a talent competition called ''New Faces''. His Master's Voice (HMV) was the name of a major British record label created in 1901 by The Gramophone Co. Ltd. The phrase was coined in the late 1890s from the title of a painting by English artist Francis Barraud, which depicted a Jack Russell Terrier dog named Nipper listening to a wind-up disc gramophone and tilting his head. In the original, unmodified 1898 painting, the dog was listening to a cylinder phonograph.
