Emir Caner
Emir Caner (born August 25, 1970) is the eighth and youngest president of Truett McConnell University, a private Baptist university in Cleveland, Georgia. Since 9/11, he and his brother Ergun Caner have been credited with playing a significant role in cultivating "Islamophobia" and "militant nationalism" in the evangelical Christian community. Early life Caner was born to a Turkish father named Acar and a Swedish mother named Monica. He grew up in Gahanna, Ohio. Truett McConnell University is a private Baptist university in Cleveland, Georgia. It is operated under the auspices of the Georgia Baptist Convention and controlled by a board of trustees elected by the convention. The university was named to honor George W. Truett and Fernando C. McConnell. History On July 23, 1946, the Georgia Baptist Convention held ceremonies at Cleveland, Georgia, to mark the establishment of a new two-year liberal arts college named for Truett and McConnell. Truett-McConnell College, operating in temporary quarters on or near the town square in Cleveland, first opened in September 1947, when it enrolled a class of 55 students. Oliver Laurence North (born October 7, 1943) is an American political commentator, television host, military historian, author, and retired United States Marine Corps lieutenant colonel. A veteran of the Vietnam War, North was a National Security Council staff member during the Iran–Contra affair, a political scandal of the late 1980s. It involved the illegal sale of weapons to the Khomeini regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran to encourage the release of American hostages then held in Lebanon. Todd Starnes (born October 28, 1967) is a conservative American columnist, commentator, author and radio host. He has appeared on ''Fox and Friends'' and ''Hannity''.
