The Embassy of the United States of America to Armenia ( hy, Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպանատուն) is the diplomatic mission of the United States to Armenia. It is located adjacent to Lake Yerevan along the Yerevan-Etchmiadzin highway. The site occupies an area of ; it was the largest U.S. Embassy in the world by area when it was completed in 2005. Currently, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is the largest American embassy, at nearly five times the size of the Yerevan embassy. Yerevan ( , , hy, Երևան , sometimes spelled Erevan) is the capital and largest city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Situated along the Hrazdan River, Yerevan is the administrative, cultural, and industrial center of the country, as its primate city.
