Elzhana Taniyeva
Elzhana Taniyeva (russian: Эльжана Таниева; born 6 September 2005) is a Kazakh rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2024 Asian all-around champion and will represent Kazakhstan at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2022 Asian Games all-around and team silver medalist. She won three medals at the 2021 Summer World University Games and four medals at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games. Early life Taniyeva took up rhythmic gymnastics at age four, following her older sister. She grew up in Almaty, but at age 10, she moved to Shymkent for her gymnastics training. Junior career Taniyeva won gold medals in the all-around, hoop, ball, and ribbon and a silver medal in the clubs at the 2018 Asian Cup. She competed in the 2019 Junior World Championships in Moscow, Russia, finishing 13th with the Kazakhstan team. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, the ISSF postponed the event to August 2022 citing the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the participating countries. 2021 Summer Universiade
The 2021 Summer Universiade ( zh, 2021年夏季世界大学生运动会), the XXXI Summer World University Games, commonly known as the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, is a multi-sport event sanctioned by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), scheduled to be held from 28 July to 8 August 2023 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. These will be the third edition of the Games to be hosted by China, and the second edition to be branded under the "World University Games" title rather than "Universiade". The age requirements in gymnastics are established by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) and regulate the age at which athletes are allowed to participate in senior-level competitions. 2019 Junior World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships
The 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships were the inaugural Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships. They were held in Moscow, Russia, from 19 July to 21 July 2019. Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated.
