Elen Evans
Elen Evans (born 9 January 1985) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays centre or wing for Caernarfon RFC, the Scarlets and the Wales women's national rugby union team. She won her first international cap against Ireland in the 2004 Women's Six Nations Championship. Playing career Elen Evans was born in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion on 9 January 1985. , her official Wales Rugby Union biography states that she is tall, and weighs . She won her first cap for the Wales women's national rugby union team at the age of 18 against Ireland in the 2004 Women's Six Nations Championship. Since then she has commuted four times a week from Dolgellau, Gwynedd, to Cardiff, in order to take part in training. This is a round trip of some six hours. Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". The 2011 Women's Six Nations Championship, also known as the 2011 RBS Women's 6 Nations due to the tournament's sponsorship by the Royal Bank of Scotland, was the tenth series of the Women's Six Nations Championship, an annual women's rugby union competition between six European rugby union national teams. 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup was the seventh edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup, and the sixth held in Europe. The World Cup Final took place on 17 August. All of the pool games for the World Cup took place at the Centre National du Rugby (CNR) in Marcoussis and Marcoussis Rugby Club with the French union adopting the concept of restricting the tournament to one or two locations as in the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup in London. Marcoussis is about 20 miles south of Paris. The knockout stages of the tournament also saw matches played at the CNR in Marcoussis, with the semi-finals, Bronze Final and Final taking place at Stade Jean-Bouin in the French capital – home of Stade Français.
