Elaine Goodlad
Elaine Goodlad (born May 2, 1964) is a professional figure competitor and makeup artist. She is a makeup artist used by fitness models, photographers, and fitness & figure competitors for photo shoots and contest times. Biography Elaine grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada in a small town and farming community to Baptist parents. When she was in high school she was involved in sports such as track and field and volleyball. At the age of twenty, Elaine discovered the gym, and used the structure and discipline of the weight training to overcome some of her personal issues and gain new confidence. She continued her weight training regime with the help of a powerlifter, Terry Goodlad who helped her to make the right changes in her regime and helped her improve her physique. Mary Elizabeth Lado (born September 16, 1978) is a figure competitor from the United States. Mary quickly moved up the amateur ranks in 2003 and soon became a professional figure competitor in 2004 by winning NPC National Figure Championships. Today Lado is one of the top figure competitors in the Industry, winning the Ms. Figure International on two consecutive occasions and placing in the top-five at the Ms. Figure Olympia on two occasions. Figure Competition
Fitness and figure competition is a class of physique-exhibition events for women and men. While bearing a close resemblance to bodybuilding, its emphasis is on muscle ''definition'', not size. The class was originally introduced when bodybuilding's popularity began to noticeably decline, in terms of both fanbase and number of participants. Overview Fitness and Figure are two ''distinct'' forms of competition, not just one. In a Fitness contest (the older of the two disciplines), female competitors showcase their physiques (which are noticeably less massive than bodybuilders') while performing a demanding, time-limited, aerobic/dance routine.
