El Bayo
El Bayo is a settlement in the municipality of Ejea de los Caballeros, in the province of Zaragoza. History Along with other settler villages of Ejea de los Caballeros, this locality was inaugurated on April 8, 1959, and quickly the first settlers began to arrive, coming from Ejea, Biota, Carenas, Nuévalos, Farasdués, Gallur, Rivas, Uncastillo and Tiermas, among others. The village took its name from the medieval settlement that had existed in the same place from 1100 until 1380, when it was razed due to the clashes between Aragon and Navarre. In 1146, Ramiro II, nicknamed the ''Monk'', founded a Cistercian monastery, whose ruins still remain with important Romanesque remains. These remains, together with three other medieval buildings and a necropolis from the same period, form the ruins known as ''Las Torres de El Bayo''. Uncastillo
Uncastillo ( Aragonese: Uncastiello) is a municipality in the province of Zaragoza, Aragon, eastern Spain. At the 2010 census,Instituto Nacional de Estadística (Spain) it had a population of 781. Along with Sos d'o Rei Catolico, Exeya d'os Caballers, Sádaba and Tauste, Uncastillo is one of the five towns comprising the ''comarca'' of Cinco Villas. In 1966 Uncastillo was declared a Conjunto Histórico-Artístico. It has several Romanesque buildings, including the parish churches of St. Martin and Santa Maria, and the churches of San Felices, San Andrés and San Juan. Isidore the Labourer, also known as Isidore the Farmer ( es, San Isidro Labrador) (c. 1070 – May 15, 1130), was a Spanish farmworker known for his piety toward the poor and animals. He is the Catholic patron saint of farmers and of Madrid, El Gobernador, Jalisco and of La Ceiba, Honduras. His feast day is celebrated on May 15. The Spanish profession name ''labrador'' comes from the verb ''labrar'' ("to till", "to plow" or, in a broader sense, "to work the land"). Hence, to refer to him as simply a "laborer" is a poor translation of the Spanish ''labrador'' as it makes no reference to the essential farming aspect of his work and his identity. Ramiro II Of Aragon
Ramiro II (24 April 1086 – 16 August 1157), called the Monk, was King of Aragon from 1134 until withdrawing from public life in 1137. Although a monk, he was elected king by the Aragonese nobility upon the death of his childless brother, Alfonso the Battler.
