Eivind Lønning
Eivind Nordset Lønning (born 20 January 1983 in Kolbotn, Norway) is a Norwegian Jazz musician (trumpet) known from playing with Christian Wallumrød, Joshua Redman, Dave Holland and Chick Corea, and performed commissioned works by Eirik Hegdal, Per Zanussi, Ståle Storløkken, Motorpsycho and Erlend Skomsvoll. Career Lønning grew up playing classical trumpet, started his education on the Music program at Ski vgs., and later completed a Bachelor on the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (2004), a Master's degree at Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo. Lønning participate in the duo «Streifenjunko» with Espen Reinertsen, in «Espen Reinertsen Organic Jukebox» (album 2007), in Christian Wallumrød Ensemble (plate 2010) and in quintet with Koboku Senjû (album 2010). He has also contributed to releases with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra Motorpsycho and he collaborated with Joshua Redman at Moldejazz (2006). Kolbotn
Kolbotn is an urban area in Norway's Nordre Follo county. Kolbotn is in the centre of the traditional district, Oppegård. The population is about 6,000. Erlend Skomsvoll
Erlend Fredrik Skomsvoll (born 12 May 1969) is a Norwegian jazz musician (piano, keyboards, accordion, and tuba), band leader, composer and arranger, known from his own band Skomsork and the band Wibutee with Live Maria Roggen, Madrugada, and Kaizers Orchestra. Jazzland Recordings is a Norwegian jazz and improvised music label based in Oslo, Norway, often associated with nu jazz. Sonic Acts is an organisation for the research, development and production of works at the intersection of art, science and theory. Moldejazz
Molde International Jazz Festival (MIJF) or Moldejazz (established 1961 in Molde) takes place annually in July, and is known as one of the oldest jazz festivals in Europe. It was initiated by the local Storyville Jazz Club. Since 1964 it has received government support, and the government Buddy Award was for several years awarded at this festival. To the extent Molde festival operates with records, is probably the bassist Bjørn Kjellemyr holder of "Most festivals in a row" musicians record. Trondheim Jazz Orchestra
Trondheim Jazz Orchestra (TJO) (established 1999 in Trondheim, Norway) is an orchestral project based in Trondheim, and closely related to both the Midtnorsk Jazzsenter (MNJ - Mid Norwegian Jazz Center) and Jazz Line at the Trøndelag Conservatory of Music ( NTNU). Biography During the 1990s the orchestra was a plain conservatory-band (Konsen Big Band). In 2000 the name of the band was changed to TJO. Oslo
