Eivind Hjelmtveit
Eivind Hjelmtveit (16 August 1926 – 11 February 2017) was a Norwegian cultural administrator. He was born in Eydehavn, and attended school in Arendal and Sandefjord. He started his career at Riksteatret in 1950 as a secretary, and was the director of Riksteatret from 1968 to 1975 and later Oslo Kinematografer from 1975 to 1993. He was also behind the establishment of Hålogaland Teater in 1971 and also Teatret Vårt and Teater Ibsen. He is decorated as a Knight of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Eydehavn
Eydehavn or Eydehamn is a village in the municipality of Arendal in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about northeast of the centre of the Arendal (town), town of Arendal, about northeast of the village of Saltrød, about south of the village of Strengereid, and just across the Tromøysundet strait from Kongshamn on the island of Tromøy (island), Tromøy. The village is named after Sam Eyde, the Norwegian engineer and Business magnate, industrialist. The local sports team is called IL Sørfjell and have teen teams in a variety of sports. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Arnljot Engh
''Arnljot'' is an opera by the Swedish composer Wilhelm Peterson-Berger. Written in 1906, it premiered April 13, 1910, and was revised in 1956. The origin to ''Arnljot'' is a melody that Wilhelm Peterson-Berger created when he first visited Jämtland in 1898. When he journeyed over Storsjön he was inspired by the nearby mountains, Oviksfjällen. The opera consists of three parts and the historical foundation of the opera is the character ''Arnljot Gelline'' that is mentioned in Snorri Sturluson saga about '' Olav Haraldsson (den Helige, Rex perpetuus Norvegiae)'' and the writings on Frösöstenen, the rune stone that is placed on Frösön. Out of these components, Wilhelm Peterson-Berger wrote his drama. Gudrun Waadeland (3 August 1937 - 8 October 2020) was a Norwegian actress and theatre director. Career She was born in Oslo, made her film debut in 1955 in Arne Skouen's ''Det brenner i natt!'' and her stage debut at Det Norske Teatret in 1959. Frits Von Der Lippe
Frits von der Lippe (1 June 1901 – 5 September 1988) was a Norwegian journalist and theater critic. He served as Director of Riksteatret in Oslo from 1949–1968. Biography Von der Lippe was born in Bergen, Norway. His parents were Jakob von der Lippe (1870–1954) and Hanna Castberg (1872–1926). His brother Jens von der Lippe (1911–1990) was a ceramist, non-fiction writer and educator. He grew up in Kristiania (now Oslo) where he took his examen artium in 1919. He worked the next year as a teacher at Boen near Kristiansand. He then started as a career in journalism. He was employed at ''Tidens Tegn'' from 1920–21 and then at '' Morgenposten'' where he was a theater critic until 1930. From 1930 to 1949, he worked as Deputy Secretary for Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. Frogner is a residential and retail borough in the West End of Oslo, Norway, with a population of 59,269 as of 2020. In addition to the original Frogner, the borough incorporates Bygdøy, Uranienborg and Majorstuen. The borough is named after Frogner Manor, and includes Frogner Park. The ''Ordre des Arts et des Lettres'' (Order of Arts and Letters) is an order of France established on 2 May 1957 by the Minister of Culture.
