Egil Svartdahl
Egil Svartdahl (born 16 August 1954) is a Norwegian Christian minister active in the Pentecostal movement. He has been the pastor of several Pentecostal churches as well as the host of several Norwegian television programs; he is known as the "TV pastor" on TV 2. Svartdahl often speaks about the renewal of the church and taking risks. Fish and fishing are also a common theme in his sermons. He is the son of preacher Hans Svartdahl and brother of Aril Svartdahl. Life Svartdahl grew up in Drammen and was educated as a confectioner and worked in the industry for a short time. He felt a call to spread the gospel, and in 1972 completed a five-week Bible school course at the Pentecostal church Filadelfia Oslo. At an early age he became involved in the church's work and started as a youth worker. Pentecostalism In Norway
Pentecostal congregations in Norway (Norwegian: ('Pentecostal congregations'), ('Pentecostal friends') and ('the Pentecostal movement')) is the largest Protestant free church in Norway with a total membership of 40,725 people in 2020. The Pentecostal movement in Norway is a Christian movement. It is not a single organized unit, but consists of a community of 340 independent churches (free churches). The Norwegian Pentecostal movement runs humanitarian work, schools and missions in about 30 countries. The Pentecostal movement follows a biblical, radical Christian teaching. The beliefs of water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit are the characteristics of the Pentecostal movement, and this is perceived as the greatest difference between Pentecostals and, for example, Lutherans. Sarpsborg
Sarpsborg ( or ), historically Borg, is a city and municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Sarpsborg. Sarpsborg is part of the fifth largest urban area in Norway when paired with neighbouring Fredrikstad. As of 1 January 2018, according to Statistics Norway these two municipalities have a total population of 136,127 with 55,840 in Sarpsborg and 81,278 in Fredrikstad. Geir Lippestad
Geir Lippestad (born 7 June 1964) is a Norwegian lawyer, politician and social activist. He is known for his involvement in several high-profile legal cases, and for starting the political party ''Sentrum'' in 2020. As a criminal appellate lawyer, he first became known in 2001 when he acted as defence counsel following the murder of Benjamin Hermansen. In 2011 he became known internationally for being the lead counsel for the perpetrator of the 2011 Norway attacks, Anders Behring Breivik. Since 2011 Lippestad has expanded his law-firm, handling several high-profile cases, as well as speaking at public events. He is also noted for being an outspoken proponent of progressive causes; from 2013 to 2020 he was chairman of the left-wing think tank ''Agenda''. The Priestly Blessing or priestly benediction, ( he, ברכת כהנים; translit. ''birkat kohanim''), also known in rabbinic literature as raising of the hands (Hebrew ''nesiat kapayim'') or rising to the platform (Hebrew ''aliyah ledukhan'') or ''dukhanen'' (Yiddish from the Hebrew word ''dukhan'' – platform – because the blessing is given from a raised rostrum) or duchanning, is a Hebrew prayer recited by Kohanim (the Hebrew Priests, descendants of Aaron). Hans Olav Lahlum (born 12 September 1973) is a Norwegian historian, crime author, chess player and organizer, and politician. He has written biographies on Oscar Torp and Haakon Lie, and a history book about all the Presidents of the United States. Siv Jensen
Siv Jensen (born 1 June 1969) is a Norwegian who served as the leader of the Progress Party from 2006 to 2021. She also held the position as Minister of Finance from 2013 to 2020 in the Solberg Cabinet. She was also a member of the Norwegian parliament from Oslo from 1997 to 2021. Per Fugelli (7 December 1943 – 13 September 2017) was a Norwegian physician and professor of General Practice at the University of Bergen from 1984 to 1992, and social medicine at the University of Oslo from 1992 until his death in 2017. Early life and education Fugelli was born in Stavanger, Norway, on December 7, 1943. He studied medicine at University of Oslo. Career From 1971–73 Fugelli was a general practitioner in Værøy and Røst, and from 1977 to 1980 in Porsanger. During this time he earned his PhD and graduated in 1978. In 1984, he became a Professor of General Practice at the University of Bergen, where he stayed until 1992.
