Egan Adams
Egan Adams (born June 15, 1959) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Adams, a native of Miami, went to Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School, before competing professionally in the 1980s. His best result on the Grand Prix circuit was reaching the doubles final of the 1982 Quito Open, with Rocky Royer. In 1982 he also made his first US Open main draw appearance, a first round loss to Mark Edmondson, as well as the quarter-finals in Brazil, his best singles performance in a Grand Prix tournament. At the 1985 French Open he featured in both the singles and men's doubles event. He lost to Andrei Chesnokov in the opening round of the singles and in the doubles he and partner Stanislav Birner had to face second seeds Ken Flach and Robert Seguso. Andrei Eduardovich Chesnokov (russian: Андрей Эдуардович Чесноков, links=no; born 2 February 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Russia. Career Chesnokov's highest singles ranking was World No. 9 in 1991. The biggest tournament victories of his career came at the Monte Carlo Open in 1990, and at the Canadian Open in 1991 (both Tennis Masters Series events). Chesnokov's best performance at a Grand Slam event came at the French Open in 1989, where he reached the semi-finals by eliminating Pablo Arraya, Jonas Svensson, Carl-Uwe Steeb, Jim Courier and the defending champion Mats Wilander in straight sets in the quarterfinals. Robbie Venter
Robert Eben "Robbie" Venter (born 7 May 1960) is a South African businessman and former professional tennis player. Biography A left handed player from Boksburg, Venter is the son of South African businessman Bill Venter. Venter was a semi-finalist at the Wimbledon Juniors in 1978 and moved to the United States that year to take up a tennis scholarship at UCLA. He was a three-time All-American and captained the UCLA side which won the team title in the 1982 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships. After that triumph he became a tour professional and with former UCLA teammate Blaine Willenborg he was runner-up in the doubles at the 1982 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, a tournament on the Grand Prix circuit held in Indianapolis. Jaime Fillol
Jaime José Fillol Durán (born 3 June 1946), known professionally as Jaime Fillol Sr., is a retired professional tennis player from Chile, who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Fillol was ranked as high as world No. 14 in singles on the ATP rankings (achieving that ranking on 2 March 1974) and No. 82 in doubles (2 January 1984). In the Open era (after 1968), Fillol won 6 singles titles and 16 doubles titles. In addition he was a founding member and one of the first ATP Presidents. Thomas Muster (born 2 October 1967) is an Austrian former world No. 1 tennis player. One of the world's leading clay court players in the 1990s, he won the 1995 French Open and at his peak was called "The King of Clay". In addition, he won eight Masters 1000 Series titles. Mark Wooldridge
Mark Wooldridge (born July 7, 1962) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Wooldridge, the son of a physicist, comes from Santa Barbara in California. He went to the University of California at Berkeley and played No. 2 singles, before joining the tour full-time in 1983 and playing professionally for four years. He won the men's singles in the Ojai Tennis Tournament in 1984. At the 1985 US Open he competed in the main draw of the men's doubles with Egan Adams, who he also partnered with to win a Challenger tournament that year in Lagos.
