Edvard Eilert Christie
Edvard Eilert Christie (10 August 1773 – 14 August 1831) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician. He was a son of postmaster and merchant in Christianssund, Johann Koren Christie (1745–1823). He was a nephew of Werner Hosewinckel Christie and a brother of noted politician Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie. He was the father of writer Johan Koren Christie, and also an uncle of physicist Hartvig Caspar Christie, politician Hans Langsted Christie and architect Christian Christie, and a granduncle of agricultural teacher Werner Hosewinckel Christie. Kristiansund (, ; historically spelled Christianssund and earlier named Fosna) is a municipality on the western coast of Norway in the Nordmøre district of Møre og Romsdal county. The administrative center of the municipality is the town of Kristiansund (established in 1742), which is the major town for the whole Nordmøre region. Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie
Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie (7 December 1778 – 10 October 1849) was a Norwegian attorney. He was a member of the National Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814 and served as the Norwegian Constituent Assembly secretary. Background Born in Kristiansund, Møre og Romsdal, Wilhelm F. K. Christie spent several childhood years in Bergen. He was the son of postmaster Johan Koren Christie (1745–1823) and Anne Thue Brodtkorb (1753–1834). His family can be traced back to Andrew Davidson Christie (ca. 1620-1694), born in Montrose, Scotland, who became a citizen of Bergen in 1654. Johan Koren Christie (writer)
Johan Koren Christie (31 May 1814 – 17 May 1885) was a Norwegian writer. He was a notable nationalist writer in the middle of the nineteenth century. He was born in Kristiansund, the son of customs officer and politician Edvard Eilert Christie (1773–1831). He was a grandnephew of Werner Hosewinckel Christie, nephew of politician Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie, a first cousin of architect Christian Christie, politician Hans Langsted Christie and physicist Hartvig Caspar Christie, and a granduncle of politician Hartvig Caspar Christie. He was a second cousin of female politician pioneer Sara Stockfleth Christie. He finished his secondary education at Bergen Cathedral School in 1834, enrolled in law studies but left after three years, then worked as a private teacher before graduating with the cand.theol. degree in 1842. Hartvig Caspar Christie (1 December 1826 – 3 March 1873) was a Norwegian mineralogist and physicist. Personal life He was born in Trondhjem as a son of naval commander Hartvig Caspar Christie (1788–1869) and Martha Sophia Sylow. He was a grandnephew of Werner Hosewinckel Christie, a nephew of Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie and Edvard Eilert Christie and a first cousin of Hans Langsted Christie, Christian Christie and Johan Koren Christie. Personal life He was born in Hommelvik as a son of engineer Johan Koren Christie (1827–1907) and Catherine Frederike Blom. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo.
