Edgar Jones (June 17, 1874 – February 7, 1958) also known as Ed Jones and as "Pardner" Jones, was an American actor, producer, and director of films. He starred in and directed the adaptation of Mildred Mason's '' The Gold in the Crock''. He also starred in and directed Siegmund Lubin films including '' Fitzhugh's Ride''. He established a film production business in Augusta, Maine that produced adaptations of Holman Day novels. Career Jones acted in touring stage productions before moving on to films. Edgar Dewitt Jones
Edgar Dewitt Jones (1876–1956) was an American clergyman, ecumenist, and author, born December 5, 1876 at Hearne, Tex., and educated at Transylvania University where he was a member of the Alpha-Omicron chapter of Kappa Sigma fraternity, University of Missouri and Illinois Wesleyan University. He first studied law but later turned to theology, studying at the College of the Bible, now Lexington Theological Seminary. After completing his seminary education, he was ordained at Independence Boulevard Christian Church in Kansas City, MO, which was served as pastor by Dr. George Hamilton Combs. Sir Edgar Rees Jones (27 August 1878 – 16 June 1962) was a Welsh barrister and Liberal Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Merthyr Tydfil from 1910 to 1918, and then for Merthyr from 1918 to 1922. During World War I he served as head of the Priorities Division of the Ministry of Munitions. Edgar Francis "Special Delivery" Jones (May 6, 1920 – May 15, 2004) was an American football running back who played for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL) and the Cleveland Browns of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). Jones played college football at the University of Pittsburgh where he finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1941. Jones grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a standout on the school's football team. After college, Jones entered the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon his discharge in 1945, he joined the Bears for one game before he was banned by the NFL's commissioner because he had signed a contract to play for the Browns in the rival AAFC. Career In his sophomore year playing college basketball for the University of Nevada, Reno, Jones led the school to a 15 - 12 win, the Nevada Wolf Packs first win in eight seasons. During his time playing for the Wolf Pack (1975–79), Jones set the school's all-time points total record (1,877); a record which stood until broken by the Wolf Pack's Nick Fazekas on November 18, 2006. Edgar William Jones (born 4 December 1970), also known as Edgar Summertyme, is an English singer-songwriter and musician. Jones was originally the bass player and singer-songwriter for the Stairs and has since formed and fronted the Isrites, The Big Kids, Edgar Jones & the Joneses and Free Peace. He has also played as a session musician for several artists including Ian McCulloch, Paul Weller, Saint Etienne and Ocean Colour Scene. Career Early career: to 1994 Jones was born in Liverpool. After playing college football at Southeast Missouri State, he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played for the Ravens for five seasons from 2007 to 2011.
