East Grinstead
East Grinstead is a town in West Sussex, England, near the East Sussex, Surrey, and Kent borders, south of London, northeast of Brighton, and northeast of the county town of Chichester. Situated in the extreme northeast of the county, the civil parish has an area of . The population at the 2011 Census was 26,383. Nearby towns include Crawley and Horley to the west, Tunbridge Wells to the east and Redhill and Reigate to the northwest. The town is contiguous with the village of Felbridge to the northwest. The Sussex Cricket League, founded in 1971, is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in Sussex, England, and since 1999 the Premier Division has been a designated ECB Premier League. The League Headquarters is based in Hove, East Sussex. Following a review of club cricket in Sussex the league now has thirty five divisions, and no longer are there separate competitions for 2nd and lower XIs. William Anthony Adkin (born 9 April 1990) is an English first-class cricketer. Adkin is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born at Redhill, Surrey, and was educated at the Sackville School, East Grinstead, before attending Southampton Solent University. Adkin made his debut for Sussex in a List A match against the touring Bangladeshis at the County Ground, Hove, in 2010. Lewis James Hatchett (born 21 January 1990) is an English former cricketer. Hatchett is a left-handed batsman (cricket), batsman who bowls left-arm Seam bowling, medium-fast. Fynn Jake Hudson-Prentice (born 12 January 1996) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. He previously played for Sussex and Derbyshire. He made his List A debut for Sussex against Glamorgan in the 2014 Royal London One-Day Cup, on 20 August 2014. East Grinstead Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England. It is one of the most successful clubs in the United Kingdom with National League Outdoor and Indoor honours. It was founded in 1897. The home ground is at EGSC, near Saint Hill. The club has a water-based pitch with seats for the spectators as well as a 3G Hockey/Football pitch and clubhouse. The stadium is named Saint Hill with a maximum capacity of 250. The Men's 1st XI play in the Men's England Hockey League and the Ladies 1st XI play in the Women's England Hockey League. ECB National Club Cricket Championship
The ECB National Club Cricket Championship is a forty over limited overs knockout club cricket competition in England. The most successful clubs have been Scarborough, from North Yorkshire, with five titles and Old Hill, from Staffordshire, with four. The 2019 champions were Swardeston, after they beat Nantwich by 53 runs in the final; the competition was not played in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition was originally only open to "senior" cricket sides (sides playing in the senior county leagues) and in 1972 the National Village Cup competition was formed for village sides unable to enter this competition. Bath Cricket Club is an English amateur cricket club based in the city of Bath, Somerset. The club was founded in 1859 and the Men's 1st XI compete in the West of England Premier League, which is an accredited ECB Premier League, the highest level for recreational club cricket in England and Wales. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
