East Africa Premier League
The East Africa Premier League (EAPL) was a 20-over competition covering Kenya and Uganda. The EAPL was founded in 2011, together with the East Africa Cup, in the wake of Kenya's disastrous performance in the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It comprised four Kenyan provincial franchises as well as two teams from Uganda that play each over in a league, culminating in a final between the team that finished top of the league and the winner of a series of playoff matches. Its main objective was to improve the standard of cricket played in Kenya, and spark a revival on the international stage once again. Tournament History The tournament was started in the wake of Kenya's disastrous 2011 Cricket World Cup campaign. Its main aim was to develop the standard of cricket both in Kenya and Uganda. Nairobi
Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase ''Enkare Nairobi'', which translates to "place of cool waters", a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. Morris Ouma
Maurice Amollo Ouma (first name also spelt Morris) (born 8 November 1982) is a Kenyan cricketer and a former limited over captain. He is a right-handed batsman and also plays as a wicket-keeper. He has played for the Kenyan cricket team since 2000. Peter Jimmy Carter Ongondo (born 10 February 1977) is a former Kenyan cricketer. He is a right-handed batman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. Rakep Patel (born 12 July 1989) was a Kenyan international cricketer. A product of the Nairobi Gymkhana Club, he was a Wicket-Keeper–Batsman who played right-handed, but also occasionally bowled off spin.
