Earthsuit
Earthsuit was a New Orleans-based Christian rock band formed in 1995. The band consisted of guitarist Dave Rumsey, keyboardist/vocalist Paul Meany, bassist Roy Mitchell, drummer David "Hutch" Hutchison, and vocalist Adam LaClave. Earthsuit's sound was primarily rock, but also incorporated elements of hip-hop, electronica, reggae, soul, and experimental music. The group recorded several independent EPs and played primarily in their New Orleans area before becoming noticed by Sparrow Records at a concert in 1999. The ensuing record deal saw the band's only commercial release, a critically acclaimed album entitled '' Kaleidoscope Superior'', in 2000. Shortly after, the band left Sparrow and drifted out of the public eye. A final album, entitled '' The Rise of Modern Simulation'' was independently released before the group disbanded in 2003. Adam LaClave
Adam LaClave is an American musician and singer. He was one of the vocalists and songwriters for the Christian band Earthsuit. The group's only major-label album, ''Kaleidoscope Superior'', was critically successful. However, the band broke up soon afterward. LaClave formed a new band called Macrosick, along with bassist Jon Allen, with former Earthsuit Members Paul Meany, Darren King, and Mutemath guitarist Greg Hill helping to give it a start. But the band went on hiatus in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina. Recently, LaClave has formed a new group with Allen called Club of the Sons. They have opened for Paul Meany's group, Mutemath on occasion. He is currently working on solo material under the alias Charlie Blacksmoke. Macrosick
Macrosick is an American independent art rock band based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Macrosick was formed in 2003 by Adam LaClave and is influenced by acts such as like Devo and Talking Heads. The group consists of LaClave as frontman, and a somewhat-evolving group of musicians including guitarist Dan Brigham, bassist Jonathan Allen, drummer Gavin McDonald and visual artist Jonathan Odom. Paul Meany (born July 2, 1976) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music director and record producer. He is best known as the lead singer and keyboardist for the alternative rock band Mutemath. Career While under the moniker "Math" (the precursor to Mutemath), Paul Meany remixed the song "J Train" from TobyMac's debut studio album Momentum. The remix appeared as the first track on the album Re:Mix Momentum by TobyMac, and included vocals from Meany. Meany has continued to work on many various projects outside of Mutemath, producing tracks for Forenn and KiND, as well as the debut EP of bandmate Jonathan Allen. Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (born July 25, 1977 in Houston, Texas) is an American musician, writer, and multi-instrumentalist. He was the bassist (and sometimes guitarist) for the rock band Mutemath, as well as the bassist for Earthsuit. Mitchell-Cárdenas has been playing in bands since he was twelve years old and has worked as a session musician and producer for many groups. Mutemath (sometimes styled as MuteMath or MUTEMATH) is an American alternative rock project founded by American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Paul Meany. Originally co-founded as a band with Darren King in 2002, Meany decided to continue Mutemath as a solo project following King's departure in 2017. Mutemath draws heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar.
