''E Bappa'' is a 2011 Maldivian family drama directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu. Produced by Koyya Hassan Manik under Lantern Production, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Sheela Najeeb, Amira Ismail, Fathimath Fareela, Koyya Hassan Manik and Mohamed Manik in pivotal roles. The film was released on 31 May 2011. Upon release, the film received mixed to negative reviews from critics and was considered a box office failure. Premise Hassan (Koyya Hassan Manik) successfully lands a job as a sailor and considering his financial insecurities, leaves his three children and wife, Atheefa ( Mariyam Shakeela) to return after few years when he is financially stable. After his departure, Atheefa prostituted herself and abandons her children. Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. In 2003, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. Mohamed Rasheed (actor)
Mohamed Rasheed (2 April 1964), professionally known as Dharaa Rasheed, is a Maldivian film actor, cinematographer, producer and director. Early life At the age of twelve, Rasheed along with his friends, Sodhiq and Kashima Ahmed Shakir, used to spend most of their times at his place, singing, playing table tennis and undertake Urdu classes. After completing his studies at Majeediyya School, Rasheed witnessed several cameras being carried to the recently developed broadcasting company, Television Maldives and decided to be a cameraman. During the time, him, along with other friends, Umar Zahir and guitarist Abdul Rauf used to perform music at small gatherings. Rafiyath Rameeza (23 March 1976) is a Maldivian singer. Early life Rafiyath Rameeza was born and raised in the "Rameez family" where several artists including Ali Rameez and Ibrahim Rameez were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. At the age of 12, while studying at Aminiya School, she competed in the Television Maldives Interschool Singing Competition and continued to participate in the same competition for more years. Mumthaz Moosa is a Maldivian former singer. Career Mumthaz was first heard in the early 2000s where he appeared in some of the local stage shows being performed at that time. Hassan Ilham is a Maldivian singer. Career Ilham made his career debut in the late 1990s though his professional career is noted to be initiated in the year 2000 with the studio album ''Hamaroalhi'' where he rendered ten songs for it. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. Hassan Ali Manik professionally known as Koyya Hassan Manik (25 April 1953 – 20 February 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and producer.
