Dr Holms Hotel
Dr. Holms Hotel is a resort hotel in the ski resort town of Geilo in Viken county, Norway. Originally known as Dr. Holms Høifjeldshotel, the hotel was established in 1909, at the same time as the opening of the Bergen Line between Oslo and Bergen. Ingebrigt Christian Holm (1844–1918) established the resort so that his patients could breathe fresh mountain air. Holm was a physician and specialist in respiratory disease. He also started sanatoriums at Vettakollen (''Voksenkollen sanatorium'') and Larvik (''Laurviks Bad''). Additionally he was instrumental in establishing Holmenkollen Turisthotel at Holmenkollen in Oslo, now the site of Holmenkollen Hotel. Holm left active management of Dr Holms Hotel during 1916. Dr. Holms Hotel was taken over by Norsk Hotelcompagnie Ltd. The health retreat soon became a magnet for wealthy families and individuals. Geilo
is a centre in the municipality of Hol in Viken county, Norway. Geilo is primarily a ski resort town, with around 2,500 inhabitants. It is situated in the valley of Hallingdal, 250 km from Oslo and 260 km from Bergen. The Bergen Line facilitated Geilo's development as the first skiing resort in the country, and it is still one of the largest. It is also known for having some of the most luxurious and expensive holiday cabins in Norway. Viken (county)
Viken is a county under disestablishment in Eastern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold with the addition of three other municipalities. Viken was controversial from the onset, with an approval rating of about 20% in the region, and the merger was resisted by all the three counties. Viken has been compared to gerrymandering. The county executive of Viken determined in 2019, before the merger had taken effect, that the county's disestablishment is its main political goal, and the formal process to dissolve Viken was initiated by the county executive in right after the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election in which parties seeking to reverse the merger won a majority. The Bergen Line or the Bergen Railway ( no, Bergensbanen or nn, Bergensbana), is a long scenic standard gauge railway line between Bergen and Hønefoss, Norway. The name is often applied for the entire route from Bergen via Drammen to Oslo, where the passenger trains go, a distance of . Oslo

Holmenkollen
Holmenkollen () is a mountain and a neighbourhood in the Vestre Aker borough of Oslo, Norway. It goes up to above sea level and is well-known for its international skiing competitions. Overview In addition to being a residential area, the area has been a ski recreation area since the late 19th century, with its famous ski jumping hill, the Holmenkollbakken, hosting competitions since 1892. Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel
Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel is a seminar and conference hotel in Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway, close to Holmenkollen National Arena and Holmenkollbakken, and the Holmenkollen station of the Oslo Metro.
