Die Model WG (Austria)
''Die Model WG'' (German for ''The Model Community'') is an Austrian reality television documentary series which follows six former contestants from the first season of ''Austria's Next Topmodel'' trying to break through in the modelling business. It debuted on Puls 4 on 4 May 2009. In 2010 German adaptation of the same title resulted from the Austrian ''Die Model WG''. Overview The contestants face a competition where they collect photos for their comp card as new faces on ''Wiener Models'' for each job they get booked for and perform well in. The contestant who first collects four photos will become the face of the newest ''BIPA'' campaign and move to New York City where she will go on to trying to work on her international breakthrough. Baden (; ) is a historical territory in South Germany, in earlier times on both sides of the Upper Rhine but since the Napoleonic Wars only East of the Rhine. Larissa-Antonia Marolt (born 10 July 1992 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian fashion model and actress. She was the winner of the first cycle of ''Austria's Next Topmodel''. After her victory she also participated in the fourth season of ''Germany's Next Top Model'', where she was placed eighth. Early life Marolt was raised in the Carinthian town of St. Kanzian, where her father, Heinz Anton Marolt, a former member of the Austrian Freedom Party and retired local politician, owns a hotel. She has three siblings (two brothers and one older sister). Marolt attended a Gymnasium and passed her A-Levels in 2010. As a 14 year old, she was active in the youth theater club of the Klagenfurt City Theater, where she was discovered as a model. A comp card (also called composite card, Z card, zed card or Sed card) is a marketing tool for actors and especially models. They serve as the latest and best of a model's portfolio and are used as a business card. A Z-CARD is also a folded leaflet format, typically used for marketing communications campaigns for example a loyalty programme or seasonal promotion. History Peter Marlowe in London invented models composites in 1965, then printed on paper to A4 format. The format was changed in 1972 to A5 card format, for filing purposes, and a few other companies started publishing cards for the model industry under different trade names since Peter Marlowe had registered the trademark "Model Composite" in Europe and the USA.
