Dekade
''Dekade'' (; en, Decade) is a 2002 Indonesian pop album published by Musica Studios and Chrisye's nineteenth studio album. It is also his only cover album. Creation The idea for ''Dekade'' came when Chrisye thought about previously popular songs that were later forgotten. Believing that all genres of modern music draw inspiration from the past, he spoke with Erwin Gutawa, who agreed that they should make a tribute to the history of Indonesian pop music. They worked together to find songs that they could obtain the rights to use and that matched Chrisye's timbre. Eventually, they decided on "Kr. Pasar Gambir dan Stambul Anak Jampang" to represent the 1940s, "Di Bawah Sinar Bulan Purnama" to represent the 1950s, "Dara Manisku" to represent the 1960s, "Anggrek Bulan" and "Pengalaman Pertama" to represent the 1970s, "Kisah Kasih di Sekolah" and "Sakura dalam Pelukan" to represent the 1980s, "Kangen" to represent the 1990s, and "Seperti Yang Kau Minta" to represent the 2000s. Sophia Latjuba
Sophia Inggriani Latjuba, known professionally as Sophia Latjuba (born 8 August 1970) is a German-born Indonesian actress and singer now based in the United States. Of German-Jewish, Bugis and Javanese descent, she is the mother of actress and singer-songwriter, Eva Celia. Chrisye
Hajji Chrismansyah Rahadi (; 16 September 1949 – 30 March 2007), born Christian Rahadi (), better known by his stage name Chrisye (), was an Indonesian progressive pop singer and songwriter. In 2011 ''Rolling Stone Indonesia'' declared him the third-greatest Indonesian musician of all time. Born in Jakarta of mixed Chinese-Indonesian descent, Chrisye became interested in music at an early age. At high school he played bass guitar in a band he formed with his brother, Joris. In the late 1960s he joined Sabda Nada (later Gipsy), a band led by his neighbours, the Nasutions. In 1973, after a short hiatus, he rejoined the band to play in New York for a year. Ismail Marzuki
Ismail Marzuki (also known as Bang Ma'ing; 11 May 1914 – 25 May 1958) was an Indonesian composer, songwriter and musician who wrote around 202 to 240 songs between 1931 and 1958, including numerous popular patriotic songs. Among his best-known works are "Halo, Halo Bandung", "Gugur Bunga", and " Rayuan Pulau Kelapa". In 1968, he was honoured with the creation of the well-known ''Taman Ismail Marzuki'' (the Ismail Marzuki Park, often called ''TIM'') which is a cultural centre in Menteng in central Jakarta. Erwin Gutawa
Erwin Gutawa Sumapraja (born 16 May 1962) is an Indonesian composer. In 1985, he started his professional music career by joining the jazz band Karimata, later becoming an independent composer in 1991. As a composer, he won the 1992 Midnight Sun Song Festival in Finland together with Ruth Sahanaya. In 2001 he won the Anugerah Musik Indonesia award for best music arranger for his concert ''Rockestra''. Biography Erwin Gutawa was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 16 May 1962. ''Konser Tur 2001'' (; en, 2001 Concert Tour) is an Indonesian album by Chrisye released in 2001 by Musica Studios. It is Chrisye's eighteenth studio album. Although the album is titled ''Konser Tur 2001'', it was not recorded live; the title "Konser Tur" was chosen to coincide with Chrisye's tour in 2001. It included two new songs and reissues of some of Chrisye's more popular songs. The music video for one of the two new songs, "Setia" ( en, Faithful) became controversial for its depiction of a woman dancing in tight clothing. Creation ''Konser Tur 2001'' was recorded to coincide with Chrisye's 2001 concert tour from 28 April to 22 May. Fariz Rustam Munaf or better known as Fariz RM (born in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5 January 1959) is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of mixed ethnic Betawi, Dutch and Minangkabau descent.
