David Judson Clemmons
David Judson Clemmons is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is well known for his groundbreaking musical work in the genre of progressive-metal and post-rock. He is credited as the founder of the bands Damn the Machine, Jud, The Fullbliss & Ministers of Anger. Career Ministers of Anger Ministers Of Anger was a progressive thrash project formed by Clemmons, which included future Machine Head drummer Dave McClain, both also involved with the band Murdercar alongside former Detente guitarist Ross Robinson. Between 1988 and 1991, Ministers Of Anger recorded three demos and one of their songs, "The Great Escape", appeared on Metal Blade's '' Metal Massacre XI'' compilation. The project eventually ended as Clemmons joined with Chris Poland as vocalist/co-guitarist to form the band Damn The Machine. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Fates Warning
Fates Warning is an American progressive metal band, formed in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1982 by vocalist John Arch, guitarists Jim Matheos and Victor Arduini, bassist Joe DiBiase, and drummer Steve Zimmerman. There have been numerous lineup changes over the course of their -year career, and Matheos is the only constant member. As of 2020, the band consists of Matheos, vocalist Ray Alder (who replaced Arch in 1987), bassist Joey Vera (who replaced DiBiase in 1996), drummer Bobby Jarzombek and guitarist Michael Abdow. Fates Warning also had a revolving cast of drummers and guitarists by the time Jarzombek and Abdow joined the band in 2007 and 2020 respectively. Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Prong is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1986. The band is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Tommy Victor, Prong's sole constant member. Voivod is a Canadian heavy metal band from Jonquière, Quebec (now Saguenay, Quebec).
