Daru Jones
Daru Jones is an American drummer from Michigan. He has played for Jack White and Pete Rock. He is a two time Grammy Award winner. Life and career Jones was born in Michigan to two professional musicians and began playing the drums at the age of four. As a child he practiced drums at his local church, where his mom was a janitor. Jones started out with touring gigs. In 2005, his first break came with Detroit hip-hop group Slum Village. Eventually, he moved to New York, where he began sharing the studio and stage with musicians like Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch and Detroit rapper Black Milk. In 2010, at a show in Nashville, on a drum solo on a Black Milk song called ''"Losing Out"'' caught the attention of Jack White. A few months later, White was recording a song with RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan and called Jones to play for him. Curtis Eugene Cross (born August 14, 1983), better known by his stage name Black Milk, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Career In addition to Slum Village, Black Milk has worked with J Dilla, Elzhi, Phat Kat, Frank-N-Dank, Lloyd Banks, Canibus, Pharoahe Monch, RZA, Danny Brown, Black Thought, T3 and many more throughout his career. In 2004, Black Milk formed B.R. Gunna with Young RJ and Fat Ray. The Eagle Nebula (catalogued as Messier 16 or M16, and as NGC 6611, and also known as the Star Queen Nebula) is a young open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens, discovered by Jean-Philippe de Cheseaux in 1745–46. The Rance Allen Group
The Rance Allen Group was a gospel music group formed in Monroe, Michigan, and based in Toledo, Ohio, named after its lead vocalist, Bishop Rance Allen. The group was formed by vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter Rance Allen (b. Monroe, Michigan) with his brothers Tom (drums) and Steve (bass guitar); another brother, Esau (percussionist), joined the group on an intermittent basis. During an appearance at a gospel talent contest in Detroit, Michigan, they came to the attention of one of the judges, record promoter Dave Clark, who worked for Stax Records.
