Jesse Boykins III
Jesse Boykins III (born February 20, 1985) is a Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Chicago, Illinois. Career Boykins is a world soul artist originally from Jamaica, later relocating to Miami and finally Brooklyn. His first EP, '' Dopamine: My Life On My Back EP'' was released February 14, 2008 and his follow up '' The Beauty Created LP'' was released November 25, 2008 through NomaDic MuSic. His career in music began at the age of nine when he joined his school choir. He soon began auditioning around Miami and found himself recording with various local Miami artists. In high school Boykins was invited to perform in the Grammy Jazz Ensemble and recorded an album with them. After high school he was recruited to The New School University in New York City. At The New School, he perfected his skills as a writer, performer, arranger and producer and as a vocalist. The Internet (band)
The Internet is an American alternative R&B band from Los Angeles, California. It consists of vocalist Syd, keyboardist Matt Martians, bassist Patrick Paige II, drummer Christopher Smith, and guitarist Steve Lacy. Their music is a blend of R&B, hip hop, jazz, funk, and electronic dance music. They have released four studio albums and three extended plays since their formation in late 2011. The Foreign Exchange
The Foreign Exchange is an R&B/electronica/ hip hop duo consisting of the American rapper/singer Phonte and the Dutch record producer Nicolay. Musical career The pair initially made contact via message boards on Okayplayer.com and soon began recording and exchanging music. Soon after, they formed The Foreign Exchange without having ever met each other in person, hence the name. Their album, ''Connected'', was released in 2004 and was a showcase for Nicolay's musical talents as well as an introduction to like-minded Little Brother affiliates who contributed to the album. The album received strong reviews and the single, "Sincere", featuring YahZarah, was released with a music video directed by Joey Boukadakis.
