Dance Plus (season 4)
Season 4 of ''Dance Plus'' premiered on 6 October 2018 on Star Plus and is produced by Urban Brew Studios in association with Frames Productions. The season is hosted by Raghav Juyal and Sugandha Mishra. Super judge Remo is the super judge of the season. Captains The following are the three captains of the season. *Shakti Mohan *Punit Pathak *Dharmesh Yelande Format The fourth round is the international squad challenge in which one member of each team has to match the level of dancing of the international dancer. The artist which matches the score gets double the points of the international squad. This round is also scored out of ten by the super judge. Based on the scores of these rounds, two teams go to the final showdown. The fourth artist from each team performs and the super judge chooses the winner. Remo D'Souza
Remo D'Souza (born Ramesh Gopi Nair; 2 April 1974), is an Indian choreographer, actor, film director and producer, based in Mumbai. He is best known for his works in ''Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'' (2014) and ''Bajirao Mastani'' (2016). In a career span of more than 25 years, D'Souza has choreographed more than 100 films. He is one of the successful and renowned choreographers in the Bollywood industry and has been a role model to many Indian choreographers. He has also been a judge in the dance reality show ''Dance Plus'' for six consecutive seasons. Personal life D'Souza hails from Olavakkode, Palakkad, Kerala, born on April 2, 1974, in Bangalore into a Hindu family as Ramesh Gopi Nair to Gopi Nair, a chef in the Indian Air Force, and Madhaviyamma, a housewife. Popping
Popping is a street dance adapted out of the earlier Boogaloo (funk dance) cultural movement in Oakland, California. As Boogaloo spread, it would be referred to as Robottin in Richmond, California, Strutting movements in San Francisco and San Jose, and the Strikin dances of the Oak Park community of Sacramento which were popular through the mid-1960s to the 1970s.Guzman-Sanchez, T. Shovana Narayan
Shovana Narayan is a recognised Indian Kathak dancer and a career officer with Indian Audit and Accounts Service. She performs in India and internationally, and has been awarded the Padma Shri. She trained under Birju Maharaj. Early life and education Sadhna Bose and in Kolkata and Guru Kundal Lal in Mumbai initiated Narayan into Kathak at the age of four. She studied at Miranda House in Delhi, India, graduating with a master's degree in Physics in 1972. She completed MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras in 2008 and M.Phil in Social Sciences from Punjab University in 2001. Dharmesh Yelande
Dharmesh Yelande (born 31 October 1983), popularly known as D-sir, is an Indian dancer, choreographer, actor and television personality. Career Yelande participated in ''Dance India Dance'' (2009–2010), ''Dance India Dance Li'l Masters'' (2010) and '' Dance Ke Superstars'' (2011) that aired on Zee TV. He was hired by Farah Khan to choreograph the movie ''Tees Maar Khan'' (2010). In 2013, he debuted as an actor by playing a lead role in the 3D dance-based Indian film '' ABCD: Any Body Can Dance'' co-starring Salman Yusuff Khan and Prabhu Deva. Lyrical Dance
Lyrical dance is a dance style that embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and modern dance. The style combines ballet technique with the freedom and musicality of jazz and contemporary. According to Jennifer Fisher, lyrical dance is “strongly associated with clearly displayed emotional moods, fast-moving choreographic strategies, emphasis on virtuosic display, illustration of song lyrics, and, in group form, exact unison.” The style is usually danced at a faster pace than ballet but not as fast as jazz. Jorhat
Jorhat ( ) is one of the important cities and a growing urban centre in the state of Assam in India. Etymology Jorhat ("jor" means twin and "hat" means market) means two hats or mandis - "Masorhaat" and "Sowkihat" which existed on the opposite banks of the Bhugdoi river.
