Saint James, Barbados
The parish of Saint James ("St. James") is an area located in the western central part of the country of Barbados. Increasingly St. James is becoming known as the playground of the rich and famous, and as a haven for sun-starved tourists with its up-market hotel resorts. In local colloquium, St. James was known as the "Gold Coast", but due to its ongoing popularity it is now often referred to as the " Platinum Coast", reflective of the parish's many glitzy beach-front mansions, pristine beaches, luxury hotel resorts, and consistently high land prices. The 2006 European Seniors Tour was the 15th season of the European Seniors Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged fifty and above operated by the PGA European Tour. Brian Jones (born 12 September 1951) is an Australian professional golfer. Golf career Jones was born in Sydney. He turned professional in 1971. He played on the throughout Asia and Australasia including on the Japan Golf Tour. He won the Indian Open two times, five times in Australasia, and twelve times in Japan. He won 11 events on the Japan Golf Tour between 1977 and 1993. Jones played in multiple Open Championships; his best performance coming at the 1981 Open Championship, where he finished in a tie for 8th place. Terry Gale
Terry R. Gale (born 7 June 1946) is an Australian professional golfer. Professional career Gale had a successful amateur career before turning professional at a relatively advanced age in 1976. From the mid-1970s to the early 1990s he won regularly on the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Japan Golf Tour, and the Asia Golf Circuit. Once he turned 50, he joined the European Seniors Tour, where he won seven tournaments. His best season on that tour was 2003, when he finished third on the Order of Merit. Carl Mason
Stuart Carl Mason (born 25 June 1953) is an English professional golfer. Mason was born in Buxton, Derbyshire. He won several amateur tournaments before turning professional and becoming something of a journeyman on the European Tour. After twenty years of trying he finally won on tour for the first time in 1994. His biggest successes, however, came after turning 50. He picked up 25 tournament victories on the European Senior Tour and headed the Order of Merit three times, becoming the leading career money winner on the tour. Career Regular career Mason turned professional in 1973, following an outstanding amateur career playing out of Goring & Streatley Golf Club, and was a rookie on the European Tour the following year. He finished in 67th place on the Order of Merit that year and was recipient of the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award. Denis Durnian
Denis Durnian (born 30 June 1950) is an English professional golfer. Durnian was born in Wigan, Greater Manchester. He turned professional in 1969 and played on the European Tour from the early 1970s to the early 1990s. He never won a European Tour event, but he finished second four occasions, with one being a defeat in a matchplay final, and twice losing out in a playoff. His best finish on the European Tour Order of Merit was 20th in 1988. In 1985 he won the PLM Open, which became a European Tour event the following season, and he was twice the British Club Professional Champion. Durnian played in The Open Championship every year from 1982 to 1990, only making the 36-hole cut on one occasion, in 1983 at Royal Birkdale, when he went on to finish tied for 8th place. Gavan Levenson
Gavan Neil Levenson (born 18 December 1953) is a South African professional golfer. Levenson was born in Johannesburg. He represented South Africa in the 1976 Eisenhower Trophy and won several major amateur tournaments including the French and Rhodesian Open Amateur Championships in 1978. He turned professional later that year and joined the European Tour the following year, winning the Belgian Open and finishing in 29th place on the Order of Merit in his rookie season. After two seasons in Europe, Levenson qualified for the United States-based PGA Tour. He spent four largely unsuccessful years on the tour, only recording one top ten finish when he tied for 4th place at the 1982 Greater Hartford Open.
