Jerry Bruner
Jeremiah "Jerry" Bruner (born April 1, 1947) is an American professional golfer who won three times on the European Seniors Tour. Bruner was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in May 2016. Greenville, Alabama
Greenville is a city and the county seat of Butler County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 7,374. Greenville is known as the Camellia City, wherein originated the movement to change the official Alabama state flower from the goldenrod to the camellia with legislative sponsors LaMont Glass and H.B. Taylor. History Greenville was first settled in 1819. Its original name was Buttsville, but after becoming the county seat in 1822, its name was changed to Greenville, in remembrance of the former locale in South Carolina of many of the original settlers. The first county seat was at Fort Dale, a fortification that was named for Sam Dale, who fought to defend the area during the Creek War. The site of Fort Dale lies on the north of the city near the Fort Dale Cemetery, along what is now Alabama Highway 185. The Legends in Golf was a golf tournament on the European Seniors Tour from 1998 to 2003. It was played on five different courses in two countries, the Netherlands and Belgium. In 1998 it was played at Efteling Golf Park, Loon op Zand, Netherlands, in 1999 at Prise d'Eau Golf Club, Tilburg, Netherlands and in 2000 and 2001 at Crayestein Golf Club, Dordrecht, Netherlands. Praia D'El Rey European Cup
The Praia d'El Rey European Cup was an annual professional golf tournament played at Praia d'El Rey, Portugal. It was played in 1997, 1998 and 1999 between teams of men representing the European Seniors Tour and ladies representing the Ladies European Tour. There was no handicap but the men and women played off different tees. The men won the first event 13–7 in 1997 and retained the cup in 1998 after a 10–10 tie. The ladies won the final event 11–9 in 1999. Tommy Horton and Marie-Laure de Lorenzi were the captains on each occasion. Stewart Ginn
Stewart Ginn (born 2 June 1949) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life Ginn was born in Melbourne. He grew up behind the twelfth green of the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Early in his life "he used to caddy at Royal Melbourne." He then moved on to be a golf manager at the club. Professional career In the 1970s and 1980s he won several professional tournaments on the PGA Tour of Australasia and one on the European Tour, the 1974 Martini International. He also played regularly on the Asia Golf Circuit, winning three tournaments, and on the Japan Golf Tour, where he has one win. He won the inaugural PGA Tour of Australia Order of Merit in 1973. In 1979 he won the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Melbourne at 284 (E). He defeated Bob Shearer and Bob Charles by three shots. Guillermo Encina
Guillermo Encina (born 7 November 1951) is a Chilean professional golfer. Encina was born in Santiago, Chile. He was taught the game by his father, the head greenskeeper at the Papudo Club in Chile, and turned professional in 1975. He won several tournaments in his home country, including the Chile Open five times, and spent time on the South African and Canadian tours and the pre-Asian Tour Asian circuit. He represented Chile at the World Cup four times. After turning 50, Encina joined the European Seniors Tour. He made the top thirty on the Order of Merit each season from 2002 through 2006, with a highest ranking of sixth in 2003. He won his first European Seniors Tour event in 2006.
