''Düğün Dernek'' (translated as "Wedding Association") is a Turkish comedy film produced in 2013. The film was written by Selçuk Aydemir and produced by BKM. Ahmet Kural, Murat Cemcir, Rasim Öztekin, Devrim Yakut and Barış Yıldız star in the film. The plot of the movie is about Ismail's (who lives in Sivas) efforts to help his son Tarık with his wedding, and the comedic escapades that ensues from it. The film was released in 258 theaters in Turkey on 6 December 2013. In the first 3 days it was watched by 572,838 people and made 5,947,213 in revenue. In the first quarter of 2014, it took the "most watched film of the past 30 years" title from ''Fetih 1453''. The film mostly got good feedback but some of the reviewers thought the chemistry between Murat Cemcir and Ahmet Kural was forced and the move was a slapstick comedy that was hard to be taken seriously. Selçuk Aydemir
Selçuk is a town in İzmir Province in the Aegean Region (statistical), Aegean Region of Turkey. It is located northeast of the ancient city of Ephesus, that was once home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its previous Greek name, Agios Theologos (Άγιος Θεολόγος), referred to John the Theologian, because emperor Justinian had erected there a basilica in honour of the saint. Emel Sayın (born 20 November 1945) is a Turkish singer and actress. Life She was born in Şarkışla district of Sivas Province on 20 November 1945, to an Albanian father who immigrated from Skopje, and a mother from Mardin. Her parents moved frequently and she had to attend primary and secondary schools in various cities such as Kayseri, Konya and Edirne. Finally she graduated from Teachers College of Çapa in Istanbul.
