Emel Sayın
Emel Sayın (born 20 November 1945) is a Turkish singer and actress. Life She was born in Şarkışla district of Sivas Province on 20 November 1945, to an Albanian father who immigrated from Skopje, and a mother from Mardin. Her parents moved frequently and she had to attend primary and secondary schools in various cities such as Kayseri, Konya and Edirne. Finally she graduated from Teachers College of Çapa in Istanbul. However by then, she had already chosen a career in music. Emel Sayın married three times. Her first marriage was to İsmet Kasapoğlu in 1966. The couple divorced in 1975, but remarried a year later. Their marriage ended in 1979. From June 1979 to September 1981, she was married to Selçuk Aslan. Her third and final husband was David Younnes, whom she married in 1986 and divorced in 1999. Şarkışla
Şarkışla is a town in the Central Anatolian Sivas Province of Turkey. The mayor is Ahmet Turgay Oğuz ( AKP). 2011 population of Şarkışla is 39.413. Aşık Veysel, one of the most famous Turkish folk poets and folk music singers of the 20th century were born in Şarkışla, as well as another earlier poet (19th century) named Aşık Sefil Kanberi. The well known Turkish originated female Dutch politician Nebahat Albayrak was born (1968) in Maksutlu village of this town as well. Şarkışla has all the characteristics of Central Anatolian climate in all seasons. The weather is mostly sunny and dry, and the clouds are high. In the summer time, it is a better place to live in and in the winter it is very cold here. There are plenty of dams constructed in and around the town, which are used for agricultural and recreational needs. A recently constructed Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline is crossing by Şarkışla. ''Düğün Dernek'' (translated as "Wedding Association") is a Turkish comedy film produced in 2013. The film was written by Selçuk Aydemir and produced by BKM. Ahmet Kural, Murat Cemcir, Rasim Öztekin, Devrim Yakut and Barış Yıldız star in the film. The plot of the movie is about Ismail's (who lives in Sivas) efforts to help his son Tarık with his wedding, and the comedic escapades that ensues from it. The film was released in 258 theaters in Turkey on 6 December 2013. In the first 3 days it was watched by 572,838 people and made 5,947,213 in revenue. In the first quarter of 2014, it took the "most watched film of the past 30 years" title from ''Fetih 1453''.
