Düsseldorfer EG
Düsseldorfer EG (short DEG) is a German professional ice hockey team in Düsseldorf. It was Germany's most successful hockey club for a long time and had many international players. The famous Eisstadion at the Brehmstrasse was the home venue for most of the team's history. The team now plays in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (German Ice Hockey League, abbreviated DEL); the home venue is the ISS Dome. The club was founded on 8 November 1935 as Düsseldorfer Eislauf Gemeinschaft (DEG) and was renamed DEG Metro Stars on 1 March 2002. It was renamed again as Düsseldorfer Eislauf-Gemeinschaft (DEG) in 2012. Jeff Tomlinson
Jeffrey "Jeff" Tomlinson (born April 23, 1970) is a Canadian-German professional ice hockey coach. He is currently the head coach of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the National League (NL). Playing career Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Tomlinson played for the Prince Albert Raiders, the Roanoke Valley Rebels and the Raleigh Icecaps, before taking his game to Germany in 1992. After almost five years with EC Timmendorfer Strand, he had a short stint with the Berlin Capitals of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga during the 1996-97 season and then would spend the following three years in England, playing for Manchester Storm. Lance Nethery
Lance Nethery (born June 28, 1957) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre and coach, and current executive. He played 41 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers during the 1980–81 and 1981–82 seasons. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1979 to 1990, was split between the minor leagues and then in Europe, mainly in the Swiss Nationalliga A. After his playing career Nethrey became a coach and manager in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, working in those roles between 1993 and 2019. Don Jackson (ice Hockey)
Donald Clinton Jackson (born September 2, 1956) is an American ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player who played 315 games in the National Hockey League between 1978 and 1987 and began his coaching career in 1988. Since May 2014, he has been serving as head coach of EHC Red Bull München in Germany. Playing career Jackson grew up playing ice hockey in Bloomington, Minnesota, for John F. Kennedy High School and earned a scholarship to attend and play for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Robert Thomas "Butch" Goring (born October 22, 1949) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders and Boston Bruins. He is a four-time Stanley Cup winner with the Islanders. Since retiring as a player he has served as head coach of both the Bruins and Islanders. Hans Zach
Hans Zach (born 30 March 1949) is a German ice hockey player and coach. During his playing career he played for five different clubs in the Eishockey-Bundesliga, EC Bad Tölz, SC Riessersee, Berliner SC, EV Landshut and SB Rosenheim. He also represented the German national team in four Ice Hockey World Championships in 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1979 as well as at the 1980 Winter Olympics. As coach he was in charge of the EC Ratingen, SV Bayreuth, Düsseldorfer EG, Kassel Huskies, Zürcher SC, Kölner Haie, Hannover Scorpions.
